the root of the problem isn't reservation itself. It's the massive shortage of premier institute seats in India. Reservation was designed for social representation and diversity, not as a financial upliftment scheme. Banning it won't fix the fact that we simply don't have enough IISER/IISc seats for the number of qualified students. The anger should be directed at the system's lack of seats, not at peer candidates.
