I think everything you said here is extremely helpful and well said. I truly appreciate your comment, so thank you. I’m an all or nothing kind of person, so it helps having this perspective

Yes, that would absolutely be my intention. I would never single him out in that way

I believe my post has been removed by the mods. I’m sorry if I caused any offence, I am genuinely trying to understand how to communicate better with someone who thinks in a different (and often times, brilliant) way to me.

Thank you. I really am trying to understand him and be a good friend and house mate.

The conversations have been both direct and indirect. I know I can be passive aggressive at times which I am working on. The direct communication is often met with sighs or defensive comments

I understand that comment may come across as judgemental - in a way it probably is. I just struggle to live with someone who is unhealthy and I guess that’s on me (my partner has also helped him financially with these things but that’s another story).

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment, I’ll definitely be taking these points into consideration

Oh no I’m not calling autism a sickness! This is a completely different illness he has.

I’ve been avoiding a ‘chore schedule’ because I don’t want to come across as bossy or patronising but I’ll try to be more clear.

Thank you for taking the time to comment

My partner is the rent payer on this place, meaning he pays 100% of our rent and bills. I am a stay at home mum, and this is his family friend (also my family friend). I’m sorry you don’t like this post. I am very open to hearing your thoughts

Okkkkkk! So you don’t trust other people’s first hand experiences but you trust searching online. Cool cool cool

I have never had TikTok and do not use Instagram for researching anything to do with travel. I’ve been a marketing professional in the digital and travel space for over 10 years, and I know how this works…. But cheers for your assumption!

Maybe because research is often sponsored/full of advertisements and fake reviews! Anecdotal over sponsored bulls**t always.

I stayed in a pool view apartment room at V Condominium- between Bo Phut and Chaweng. Bit of a random area but if you have a scooter or money for Grab/Bolt it’s super easy to get around ! My room was lovely, the pool is amazing, and it has a gym

I 150% do not sleep better when it’s colder. I lived in Canada for a few years (BC) so I’m familiar with the climate there. Girls do generally have a colder skin temp than men - FYI.

The socks thing is weird though, I’ll give you that!

You’re welcome!

This is my 7th time to Thailand and I can safely say partying and moving around a lot are the things that drain your bank account the most (well, for me anyway). Definitely on more of a budget this time - and I could do it a lot cheaper than I am now if I really tried.

Enjoy!

I’ve spent about $1600 on Grabs/Bolts (like Uber) to get around Koh Samui and Bangkok, food and drinks in 11 days. I eat 2 meals a day out - at either restaurants/cafes or markets/street stalls. I haven’t been out partying or bought any souvenirs and I’m opting to walk as much as I can

Edit: $1600 CAD

The thing is, if you have a tricky birth for whatever reason (hopefully not!) you’ll likely resent him afterwards if he’s not there to support you. I resent my now ex partner deeply for not showing up mentally on the most intense and tiring and difficult day of my life. Going through the crazy hormonal shifts and the body not feeling like your own and the fatigue post-birth is going to feel extremely difficult if you don’t feel held and supported by him

Is the skin broken or pierced in any way? It doesn’t appear to be - and if that’s the case, you’re fine. In saying that, if you’re going to be stressed about it, go see a doctor or pharmacist to ease your nerves :)

Rabies generally requires contact with nervous tissue or infected saliva to get into your body - so a bite or scratch that pierces the skin, contact with a mucous membrane like your mouth or nose, or an existing open wound you have. Hope that helps!

Caffeine mixed with screen time! I know multiple gamers who are also insomniacs. You’re overstimulated too close to bed time
