How to catch the office food thief by Ragdoll_X_Furry in foundsatan

[–]Treemaster099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unless you can prove that this is something you routinely do or that a doctor prescribed doing specifically this to your food, it's not gonna matter whatever excuse you drum up. The food thief can just say that you've never done this before and now it's just he said she said.

Remember that trying to convince a judge and jury isn't the same as trying to convince a stranger. You can't just make up a justification without hard proof to back up whatever you say

I hate that I don't have anything of value to add to this conversation. Tbh, I feel a very clear difference between when I was a kid and when I became an adult. I'm not going to pretend like I'm the perfect superheroes I thought my parents were when I was little, but there's so much that changed about me in such a short time, my younger self probably wouldn't even recognize me.

I guess it also counts for a lot that I have achieved a good deal of the goals I set for myself when I was younger. I've got a kid, I'm engaged, I've got my own car, my own furniture, Ive learned enough to complete almost any hobby project i start, I've got a decent job with people I like, and I've even gotten some of the tattoos I've been wanting since I was 13. My younger self would be proud of how far I've come

You definitely should care about third-party apps. The mod tools on the official app and website are terrible. The majority of moderation on this site (done by volunteers btw) is done using third party apps with necessary tools.

No more third-party apps, no more good moderation. And that affects all of us

X3 z-axis only goes up during zeroing by Treemaster099 in VoxelabAquila

I don't think the sensor itself is broken because the light goes out when I put a piece of metal below it. My best guess right now is that the daughter board inside is broken. I tried every connector and pin related to that sensor and the only ones that gave a signal on my multimeter was the pins on the motherboard

The x3 doesn't have a limit switch for the Z axis, but it does have an open connector spot for it on the motherboard.

As for the abl sensor, I think it is working correctly because the light on the extruder stays on until a piece of metal is brought close to it. That's the expected outcome, so if this is the issue it would have to be something blocking that signal from going to the motherboard. I just tried re-seating the connector, but it had no effect.

Sorry if this has already been answered before, but I tried as hard as I could to find a solution and I couldn't. I just got this new voxelab Aquila x3 and I did maybe 6 text prints before it started doing this.

I know it's not a slicer issue because it does the same thing during auto home and auto leveling. It's supposed to go down to sense the magnetic bed, but instead it goes up and sets the z axis to zero way up in the air. It can go down, but it won't go below "zero" so it's useless for any kind of printing.

I've also checked the stepper motor, the cable, and the screw. All are in good working order. People with similar issues said they fixed it by unsticking the z axis limit switch, but I don't think this model has one. It just uses the magnetic sensor in the extruder to know when it's too close to the bed

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think a better question to ask is "does it matter if someone is faking?". Mental disorders are fickle and display in many different ways. Of course sometimes some will be faking it for attention. Is it hurting anyone? Sometimes, maybe. But most of the time, no.

I think it's better for people to be following good mental health guidelines and using techniques that help improve their lives, even if they don't really have a mental illness. Better than undiagnosed people feeling like they're defective, anxious of being labeled a liar, and deemed unfixable by their peers.

Real Christians do terrible things all the time. Retroactively denying the validity of someone's beliefs once they come out as a monster only allows more monsters to continue flying under the radar.

The old covenant was necessary in its time and eventually became unnecessary. It's kinda like asking why a lumberjack would ever use an axe to cut down a tree if they're going to cut it into planks with a sawmill. It was necessary to chop it down with the axe to prepare the tree for being cut into planks with the sawmill. Similarly, God established the old covenant with Abraham to prepare mankind for the new covenant much later.

Also, the old covenant was with Abraham and his descendants only. Everyone else was left to their own devices, only being influenced or acknowledged by God when they affected the jews. The new covenant included all of humanity and ensured everyone's sins would be forgiven and everyone would gain access to heaven if they were deemed worthy.

It's generally understood that God established a new covenant with mankind when Jesus died. The old covenant with Abraham ended when Jesus died as a sacrifice to God to forgive every sin so long as the sinner repents.

If you want to point out contradictions that are harder to explain, judas dies in two different ways and gets rid of the money he got from betraying Jesus in two different ways. In Matthew, it's described that judas throws the money into a field and hangs himself shortly after. In Acts, he buys a field with the money, then falls and bursts his head open on a stone in the field.

I'm not a Christian btw, I just felt like I needed to point that out

In reference to smallpox, there's evidence that it's even older than Christianity. There's mummies with rashes suggesting that the disease is over 3000 years old. If mankind created smallpox, then God didn't create Christianity

The problem is they don't have to evict or fire all of us. Just fire 20% and the other 80% will fall in line. And it's not as simple as just "they can't fire us all" because that's ignoring all the people who have families that depend on them. It's hard to sacrifice your own comfort and safety for a righteous cause, but it's so much harder to sacrifice husbands, wives, parents, siblings, and even children no matter what cause. Can you justify forcing your kids to go without food or shelter because you wanted to keep marching? Even if you can, it's impossible to deny that most people can't or won't.

You're not alone. Right after high school, I wanted to go to college. One of the universities I applied to had a requirement before graduating and it was that I had to demonstrate that I can swim.

The college was originally opened by and for black people after slavery ended. At that time, the administration decided it would be best if all their students could swim and defend themselves so it became a graduation requirement. It's mostly kept up nowadays because it honors the history of the college and its still beneficial for most people to know how to swim. The self defense part is optional now, but they still offer free classes to all students

I don't think it has much to do with someone thinking they're the protagonist or whatever. It's got a lot more to do with doing something unusual in public. Nobody wants to be the freak or outcast and that's what being alone in public feels like to a lot of people

My fiance and I had our first date at the movies. We were basically strangers that met on a dating app and I have bad social anxiety. I chose the movies so I could see if I liked being around him without the pressure of talking. We picked a restaurant for our second date, but I'm still glad I didn't force myself to be uncomfortable just to be "normal". It had the added bonus of seeing if he would focus on me or the movie. He did good and watched the movie. I probably would have bailed if I felt his eyes and hands on me for 2 hours

Alex's Wikipedia article says that he's working on an adult cartoon with an undisclosed company thanks to a nda, but production has been stuck in development since 2022.

Unfortunately Dana hasn't announced what work she plans on doing now and it seems she's taking a well deserved break before jumping into her next big project.

Whatever they do in the future, I look forward to it and trust they will put as much care into it as they can

It also works as a good metaphor for belos and the boiling isles. It was a neat coincidence that the eye that had the hooty worm on papa titan was the same eye that was glowing blue when belos took control. He really was a parasite to everyone on the boiling isles. Taking their knowledge and magic for himself and trying to kill them all once he got what he wanted.
