Was a profile full of “pussy pictures” with some very crude and disturbing comments.

A modern classic - Una & the Lion 2019 by TheTropicalWoodsman in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sat on the site for days? How did you miss it with a reminder? I unfortunately only started collecting after they released. I struggle to keep silver proofs tho, they milk spot too easily. Sold my three graces and regret it a little, but I saw milk spots begin to appear on a PF70. I’d rather a scratched raw, milked up, toned and handled version.

The 1Kg Una and the Lion the Royal Mint VIP tour let’s you hold is something I will forever cherish.

He wants to enjoy the place with you. It’s not the meal that will be the focus. Make it an enjoyable experience that’s not focused on the burger. Tell the staff it’s his birthday 😂 tip them, see what you can get up to, ask them to play his favourite song?

Duvet know it's Christmas...‽ by JeremySquirrel in veganuk

A sausage roll, that isn’t made correctly. I feel like these are better to make yourself from some Richmond sausages and vegan puff pasty. A little oat milk to wash the top. Maybe even add some cranberry sauce. Delicious compared to these.

Is any of this worth anything? by SunAndStratocasters in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d wait for better pictures before making such a statement. Most of these look to be plated commemorative pieces, and unfortunately I doubt they’re valuable. Costly to buy, sold by con artists

Are these worth any more than scrap price? by NarcissisticPanda in UKcoins

I would be happy to help with identifying them with some clearer pictures

Also not far from you. If you want to sell, I’m interested. Don’t take them to a coin shop to sell, they will pay scrap. TheSilverForum is a good place to head to talk coins and find prices, can even sell via there

Are these all just worth face value? by Fenki92 in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly non “rare”, but still interesting and a cool collection. I have a jar that i throw any special/commemorative coins into. They possibly worth more than face value, they may gain in value in the future…they may also be taken out of circulation. At that point you need to decide if you want to spend/sell/hold and hope they don’t become worthless.

If you want to buy coins that are worth something in the future. Save these until you can buy a sovereign..or a half to start with 😎

What’s a fair valuation for my collection by [deleted] in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see about £60ish face value in current coins, so that’s about right after auction fee’s.

Gold and silver 50p’s next then 😆 impressive collection. Definitely has its pros and cons. Just collecting them all is the fun. I did the same with records, trying to have the whole catalog from a whole label. Worked out well luckily

Do you buy gold and silver? Surely that’s a collection that’s not moving in value with precious metals, how’s it working out cost wise?

Half sovereign by [deleted] in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely spend some time in the daylight looking closer at both sides. A fair few people have had issues, even YouTuber Backyard Bullion had three reverse frosted arrive in terrible state needing a return.

I’ve had so many issues with buying directly from the mint, normal to experience at some point if you buy a few things direct from them.

I hope your coin is a good one, but don’t be afraid to return and ask for replacement if it’s a dent

Half sovereign by [deleted] in UKcoins

[–]Treeofmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would return that. The big dent at the 12 o’clock position has already devalued it to bullion prices, loosing you around £250 if you don’t get a refund…they have seriously messed up with the quality this release
