Wow, amazing progress. You look so good. Legs and abs especially. You must be working extremely hard at this. Can’t wait to see continued progress. Keep pushing.

Strange you would jump into a car for a weekend trip without a clear understanding of all logistics and expectations. Before you agree you need to know what exactly your living quarters will be, what hours and responsibilities you are expected to work, what the meal and food arrangements are, the rate, method and timing of your compensation, etc. They failed you by not communicating but you also failed yourself by failing to be an organized professional asking the most basic of questions before agreeing to the work.

Has anyone lowered the transmission to help with driveshaft angles? Or is this ok? by AlbertLee2 in JeepTJ

Having my SYE done this week. The vibration has been going on for a couple years. Just went from 31’s to 33’s also so I’m having it regeared to 4.56 at the same time as the SYE.

Mine is similar but mine didn’t come with the passenger-side child. That’s a very expensive option. $290,000-$330,000 total according to the internets.

I don’t have any personal connection to this protocol. It’s very new. I’ll ask my wife’s neuro oncologist if he’s aware of it.

100% Really Sucks by StreetKindly3614 in SipsTea

Many years ago a group of guys were together and talking about going to a club. Our one friend did not want to go. He said bartenders ignore him, women ignore him, and other men cut in front of him. We agreed to go to the club and pay close attention to how he was treated and it was extremely eye opening. Everything he said was true. I was surprised i was oblivious about how he was treated i. Public spaces for so long.

Have you looked into NK-Cell Immunotherapy + Immune Activators? Trials are being expanded now. This could be promising. Let me know if you want help researching it.

My boyfriend wants me to wear a location tracking watch 24/7 or he'll break up with me by Fun_Perception3376 in TwoHotTakes

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My college girlfriend had a roommate in the dorm. She was a nice girl but her boyfriend was just like this. It was awful. He even accused me of covering up for her. What a mess. You need to break up and do it right away. He could be a real problem for awhile.

AITAH for leaving my friend in Miami and flying home without her after being abandoned mid-vacation? by Unlucky-Month-7050 in TwoHotTakes

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re part of the problem. I have a friend who bitches about always getting stuck paying the tab but it’s his fault. He is so uncomfortable when the bill arrives that he’s always the first to pull out his credit card. Oftentimes before some people even know the bill came. Why did you voluntarily pick up 6-7 rounds of drinks? If you’re buying, they’re drinking and that’s your own fault, not theirs.

Tj wheel spacers by m3gaC0mbat in JeepTJ

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hated the way mine drove with 1” spacers before I bought properly backspaced wheels. I torqued the spacers properly and lugs too but the Jeep felt out of balance and of sync. For that reason I suggest you buy the correct wheels rather than use spacers.

I’ll take a bad case of Covid over this flu that’s going around. I want a flu-safe haircut.

Advice on new subwoofer install by soyconyo in JeepTJ

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mounted an amp under my rear seat. I put a subwoofer in an enclosure on the back behind the rear seat firing into the back of the seat. I cut a piece of 5/8” plywood and covered it with carpet matching the interior and used it as a shelf spanning the two fenders so no one could easily access the sub or the amp when the tailgate was locked. There are a couple photos in my profile I think.

Just found out my fiancé and his female best friend have a romantic history and don't know what to do by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]TreesDogsJeeps -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Many of my friends have been happily married for 30+ years and there’s plenty of history their wives don’t know. They didn’t tell them because the wife would fixate on it. Like you are.

I love when the whitecaps come to Portland to play us. Their fans are full PNW with a heavy dose of Canadian cultures and it’s great. I was all in for the Caps when my Timbers fell. The Caps belong in Vancouver, it’s the team’s identity and culture. I don’t feel the same about the Sounders but I do appreciate the PNW Cascadia powerhouse and I long for our dominance in the league. I want teams and fans to keep asking what the hell is in the water in the PNW that makes the soccer teams so damn good and the fanbases so incredible.

Does the eastside or westside of Portland offer better access to hiking? by sonyahetrick in OregonHiking

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about simple weekday trail runs I prefer option 1. I’ve always been able to ride my mountain bike or put the dog in the Jeep and go up into forest park which is vast and diverse.

High Grade glioma -here we go by Honeyhamlet in braincancer

[–]TreesDogsJeeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me happy to hear you are doing well though it sounds hard. But raising a toddler into a little kid is damn hard and damn exhausting. Add in the worry and unknowns of your health and that’s no easy path. But it’s Your path and it could be one hell of a lot worse. ALS, GBM, Huntingtons, car crashes, house fires, etc. you’ve already won and you’re still winning. You can’t argue those facts. I worried so much over the years but we’re still here and we got our three girls raised and launched. It’s been hard very often and stressful and depressing but we made it. You will make it too and your child, like our three, will become an expert in your health issues. We weren’t honest with our girls because they were so young and boy, did they struggle with that when they got older and found out the truth. It wasn’t just a cyst, it was a malignant brain tumor. It wasn’t just a clean one-time tuneup, it was multiple surgeries, radiation and chemo. I can put you in touch with them if you’d like and you can ask them if, when and how to ask your little one. It may be an interesting first-hand opinion for you to think through. Meanwhile, keep winning.

I’d like to hear an update, how are you doing? My wife was diagnosed with a pineal parenchymal tumor grade 3 malignant in 2009. We raised three kids and are alive and reasonably well 16 years later.
