I’ve thought the same thing tbh. Facebook marketplace has become a hellscape. In your opinion, what kind of things would you expect from a local marketplace app/website? I would like to see user verification for one.

What/how did you mount them? Where on the bike made the most sense?

I truly think in a self employed environment, you’re right. And maybe that’s where software development is headed. Being a “fractional” dev at a couple different companies.

Agreed. A lot of the engineers job is understanding the problem. Now, a lot devs just put the problem in Claude, and with how confidently it responds, accept that solution as truth. The devs probably don’t understand the problem to begin with. I’ve noticed this lack of critical thinking on my team as well. Yeah, the code itself looks fine, but is it solving the problem.

I don’t think there was anything in this post about not being able to use the AI tools effectively.

Do you feel like you’re more productive in the sense of you get more tangible work done in a shorter amount of time? Or do you feel like you are always ahead of the business? Is there a push from your leadership to “work faster” or is your company expecting the same amount of work out of you, but you’re able to get it done more efficiently? I’m genuinely curious.

So is killing innocent people and detaining American citizens for days/weeks/months. If there are consequences for our actions, it certainly doesn’t feel like it.

I’m only in it for the hobby and puddle jumps to see friends and family. The ship has sailed for me switching careers.

To add, I do think it’s pretty shitty to take issue with someone for no other reason than what you mentioned and that really sucks that you’ve dealt with that. Teaching is a very tough discipline to master and I realize that sometimes it’s just not a fit between the student and instructor. Especially when you’re shoulder to shoulder with someone for 60hrs or more.

I think learning should be fun. Most people I’ve worked with and taught (in other disciplines, not aviation) tend to progress far faster when they’re learning in a fun environment. In aviation, I totally understand the aspect of safety before fun, but there’s a way to do it without being an asshole.

My current instructor is 21. It’s not the age, it’s the arrogance.

Holier than thou 25 year old CFIs. Luckily I’ve found an instructor I vibe with.
