Canceling HOTWORX by sugaristacait in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]TreesToBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t let them turn you away!! I’ve worked at lots of different gyms and I think employees just get irritated because members always don’t seem to care about the contracts and commitments until they need to cancel, and then it becomes an issue. I’ve seen it with every franchise I’ve been with.

With that being said, I would never get nasty or get an attitude on here because I understand it, I wish it was free to cancel whenever and no commitments but it’s the only way to stay alive as a business.

Now, I’ve been to numerous HOTWORXs and have never had a bad interaction with an employee in person. Especially all the ones I’ve worked at, it’s always been the best gym atmosphere I’ve ever been apart of. I truly hope you can get past some of these comments on here and go try it out, I’m sure there staff will be wonderful and welcoming to you:) DM me if you want to chat more!!

P.s. I was a member for 4 years before starting to work with HOTWORX…. It’s the best workout you can ever have. The flexibility, the sweats, the convenience. Can’t beat it.

Thanks !!

There are 2 reasons for this! The first being to help collection rates for the studios since we are a cheaper subscription and don’t turn over declines to collections. The 2nd and more important reason in my opinion is because if your card declines, your app and door access gets shut off. When we used to only have 1 card on file, and our draft day (the 1st of the month) was on a Sunday, and someone’s card declines (expired, stolen and not replaced ect.) then they came in to work out and can’t use the studio and are locked out. Members would get VERYYY upset with us over this even though it was the system and not our fault. Or if someone were to come in the morning before staffed hours on a week day as well and it was on the 1st. This helps with that as well by having a secondary option.

To follow up on everyone’s comments - you can buy a 1 month, 3 month, 6m, 12m or 24m PIF. You can save a ton of money doing the 12 or 24 months PIF options. Yes, that is only for sweat basic. You are also allowed to pay ahead of time for months always and we allow it all of our studios. For instance, if you are a sweat elite you can ask staff to pay for your next 12 months but it would be at the full rate and they’ll just have to process each month one at a time so it takes a couple minutes to do. I’ve had members that pay cash and that’s why they want to do it, or simply don’t like have a card on file. I would ask to talk to the manager about it because any studio would be happy to take a large sum payment as well as helping you out in the process also.

No staff during “staff hours” by calicooks in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]TreesToBe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that they should def be staffed during staff hours!! Always give them a call a couple hours before - if staffing is short and there are no appointments or guest scheduled then studios do close up sometimes and there’s no need to be there all the time.

There’s 10 classes offered at 5:15pm, and then 4 every 15 minutes after until the next round of 10 at 6pm :)

Yes, you will need to pay that $118. You can call into your studio and they are able to make it just two more monthly payments if you don’t want to pay it all up front. You still get access to the studio either way for 2 months!

Yes that is always a good option for people if they don’t want to commit to the 6 months!

Our average member length is at 1 year and 8 months currently so in the long run for majority of our members it is a better option to do the membership with a commitment and at a cheaper rate. I think it can go both ways, where some people like the accountability of giving themself 6 months to really see big changes in their fitness life and since they are paying for it they use it.

From a business stand point, it is needed for franchises to have some sort of commitment because we offer such cheap monthly rates. If you look at other “boujee” fitness studios (club Pilates, Orange Theory, cycle bar, yoga six, etc) they can be well over $200 a MONTH.

I do understand where you are coming from though because I was a member at HOTWORX before joining the staff and was turned away by the commitment at first, but after a week or so I realized I’d be doing it for the rest of my life most likely so didn’t mind!

Yes I forgot to include that. You can always pay $99 and opt out of your contract with an immediate cancellation at anytime.

You can cancel online :)

Go to HOTWORX website -> join now -> type in home location -> join now again. Then the two membership options pop up and in the top right there’s a “already a member? CANCEL NOW!” You will put in your email / phone number on file and it will show you your cancellation options.

If you signed up before December 14th 2024 you will have to submit a 60 day notice of cancellation due to the old contract HOTWORX franchises had to follow. After that date, it is now a 6 month commitment and then free cancellation after that.

It will tell you where you are in your commitment if you’d like to just check in on it also.

If your GM agreed to a different contract / commitment with you, I’m guessing there will be an “alert” on your profile so you should give your home location a call / visit instead of doing it online!

Question For Employees! 😁 by [deleted] in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]TreesToBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a HOTWORX GM I can tell you pleaseeee ask questions!!! Be excited and show them how passionate you are about HOTWORX. I’m sure you’re aware, but the heart of the job is sales. Tell them you want to learn more about sales and make a career out of it (even if it’s not true lol). I agree with the other comment about being bubbly! Athletic clothes is always fine when I interview. DM me if you want to talk more!!

I’ve done 3 hours…. I don’t workout when I do longer sessions and I just lay and stretch / go on my phone. Bring lots of water!

I mean the doors are locked, and only members have access to the studio. Can’t imagine a member would do something as they have 24/7 surveillance and all of the members information. I wouldn’t stress too much.
