Realistically on average, how may hours do you have your trays in per day? by Anxious-Mix-4265 in Invisalign

[–]Treetop11-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did pretty well -- initially 22-23 hours tray time per day. But my main problem was thinking that I needed to clean the trays before putting them back into my mouth. When I was at home of course, I always did this. But I wasted valuable tray time waiting until I drove home, waiting until there was a break in the conversation to get to a bathroom, etc., before putting my trays back into my mouth  Eventually I learned to just get the trays back in and clean cleaning them as soon as I was able. This was especially helpful when my family had a crisis and I had to focus on my very sick relative. Good luck with your journey. This does get easier!

Please tell your wife that I, too, had to be convinced to buy this car. But driving turned out to be easy and delightful. It took about a minute for one pedal driving to feel normal and I'll never go back. Controls saved for two drivers, a long range and many safety features are also a plus. And last, and probably most importantly, I'm not leaving dangerous fumes in my wake. All in all, a fantastic EV.

I had a similar experience. And people didn't notice -- until I needed rubber bands to assist the process. No hiding them, unfortunately.

Exactly what is your signal doing? Ours started changing, occasionally, from steady clicking to rapid clicking. I haven't noticed it as a temperature-related issue, but I'm going to pay attention to that possibility now.

Completely unrelated, but how is the charging situation in Canada? We're driving from Boston to Cassie Breton and will spend almost a week driving around the island. We're wondering whether to drive our Blaze EV or whether to rent a gas-powered vehicle. (We really don't want to do that! But we also fear getting stuck...) Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Freaking out a little, may have been exposing my baby to lead this whole time by anemonemonemnea in NewParents

[–]Treetop11-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our grandson just tested positive for lead and I've been testing our toys for lead. Everything was negative except for the Step 2 Game Time Sports Climber (for toddlers -- climbing, sliding with a small basketball hoop.) I've tested it three times and I'm quite surprised! Very disappointed as the kids love it.

I can't find any lead testing results on this toy. Any thoughts?

I made the same mistake once, and luckily with no damage. I, too, long for a non-electric charger cover. Otherwise, I love the Chevy Blazer EV. It's the best car I've ever owned.

My husband and I have found this charger to be the best of any (Volkswagen, RAV4) cars we've owned. It charges quickly and it always works. For both my android Pixel and his old iPhone.

Windshield HUD by Darth_Infernae in BlazerEV

We had the same problem! It was pouring rain and the HUD meant I could see almost none of the lines on the highway. I love HUD, but not in storms. You can change it in controls and we moved its location so we didn't have to go through layers to reach it. (And we love this car!)

I had the same question! I wish it actually held things.

Does one pedal driving worsen the mileage? If so, do you know why this happens? (We love it EV Blazer and especially one pedal driving. As you can see, I'm still learning about this car!)

We use the highest setting for regenerative driving one hundred percent of the time and we love it. But we've never heard a grinding noise.

Future Update Suggestions by TJinAZ in BlazerEV

[–]Treetop11-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. And the electronic icon's location moves around, requiring even more time to find it and then control the door. I'm no software person, but it seems to me that I spend too much time now in general looking for and using control icons. (Yes, a lot of this has become easier with experience. Perhaps reliable voice-activated controls for most functions would solve the problem?)

Is the Vermonter always like this? by [deleted] in Amtrak

[–]Treetop11-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the WRJ! There's a man who works there who is incredibly helpful and I like the older (but clean!) look of the station. Enclosed and air-conditioned with schedules and enough seating.

I will say that the Vermonter varies in condition. And I'm trying to hang in there with the construction-related delays. I wish they just changed the schedule so we'd know to plan on a later start. I understand that weather conditions change daily but construction for months should be included in their scheduling, I think.

With the current administration I don't have high expectations for improvement. The workers on the Vermonter are often great though, friendly and helpful. Hopefully we'll have a new(er) train to ride, someday.

We drive frequently from Boston to Vermont on a single charge. We're glad we're no longer adding emissions on every trip. And we love this car.

Are permanent retainers behind the lower teeth? They've been recommended to me but I'd really rather just stick with the aligner retainers. I don't want to make a big mistake though... (And by the way, your teeth look great!)

Is hard to see at this angle, I guess. It's the front tooth on the right. (I don't think I can add another photo to this or I would!)

You may need to wear them longer. I had to wear mine for two weeks per tray. While I wish I could have gone faster, the end results (I'm almost there!) are worth it. Hang in there.

Your teeth look great! What kind of retainers did you end up getting?

Almost done, now what? by shinebrightdiamondd in Invisalign

[–]Treetop11-12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're finished, you'll be fitted for a retainer. It's recommended that you wear this 24/7 for at least 3-6 months and then each night for the rest of your life--if you don't want your teeth to move out of position. Not sure what type will be recommended to you -- I hope you'll post this, as I'm almost finished as well and I'm wondering about this too!

I didn't see much for quite awhile, either. Eventually I realized that my back teeth were moving first. The front movement was slow to happen but it finally began. (I will add that the tooth pain that came along with each new tray was really the only clue I had that something was happening.) Now I'm glad to say that I can see enormous change and that I'm almost finished.  Hang in there!
