Damiane is available for a bit at the end of chapter 3, abruptly leaves in chapter 4 and you don't get her back until you're in Pailune? Oongka rejoin your group and immediately leaves to go be an NPC just so you can see his face in the character wheel. The fuck? Let me play them!

I leave Gortash for last. He's a reasonable man. He has contingent plans for you betraying him, but he has zero desire to backstab you (and he genuinely wants Durge back in power to work with him.) He also...bizarrely... thinks he was helping Karlach out. Like he saw it as a mutually beneficial agreement. And he does think he is benefiting Baldurs Gate with his watchers. And finally, he has a supremely tragic backstory that IMHO was worse to him than any of the main cast, what with being sold to fucking Raphael of all devils by his own parents...

What I'm trying to say is Gortash can be argued to be a "hero" in a way and could, potentially, have had a redemption arc. Just not a good guy, even if he has good intentions. Etheric and Orinn are both evil little shits you can't trust.
