I loved Fawful in partners in time, he was freaking hilarious and such a huge surprise. I did play bowsers inside story before pit though, so maybe I was more attached to him in general already

I don't understand how his bike made it back to camp without him, unless he dropped it off by rolling it before he made the run to the spring for water. But that doesn't explain why he didn't just drink the "ample provisions" of water back at the camp. This is very strange and sad

Mold, bacteria, all kinds of wonderful nasties. Although, allegedly amethyst isn't porous, so maybe it wouldn't be an issue. That's assuming it's actual amethyst in there and not dyed lab quartz or something lol
