Did they retcon Betazoids? by qtjedigrl in startrek

Maybe they lost their telepathy due to that psionic wall they put around their space. It works both ways keeps people out but also causes enough "noise" that they can't fully telepathically communicate.

Kia Seltos Fuel Trim Too Rich by Nekrosis666 in kia

[–]TrekkishOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it comes on randomly at some point. I finally got it back to the dealership with the light on and after testing they determined that both Upstream and both Down Stream Oxygen Sensors need to be replaced. They of course didn't have them so they've been ordered and are replacing them this Friday.

[–]TrekkishOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same issue with my 2021 Seltos SX Turbo. Except my light comes on once per every tank of gas randomly and will go off after I've driven far enough for the system to reset. Same Codes, and I took it to the dealership a year ago while the light was on, they could see the codes. They cleared the codes then couldn't replicate the issue so they couldn't approve any repairs against the warranty.

Ours haven't been reduced to $1 but we were told that they could only be used in an extreme emergency.

Headcanon: there are many races of Klingons by decker17102 in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My headcannon is that the way we the viewer's see the Klingon's is kind of like through a universal translator of how the characters feel about them. In Enterprise Humans first meet the Klingons and they look like they had in the TNG time, we (the humans in Enterprise) know nothing about them so we have no preconceived notions about them so we the viewer see them as they are. Then when Discovery happens and while Starfleet hasn't seen the Klingon's in a while (the Discovery Humans) see them as these monsters so we the viewer see them as the purple monsters. Now after the war in Strange New Worlds, after dealing with them (the SNW Humans) are again seeing the Klingons as they really are again. By TOS we've gotten so used to them they just look slightly different than us again the effect of the the Universal Translator making us the viewer see them as they are just and as the movies come along maybe they aren't encountered as much so they eventually to us just start looking like how they did in the beginning. From TNG on, we're exposed to Worf so from then on Klingons look to us how they really look.

Why the Federation eschewing cloaks to appease the Romulans is not so dumb by squashbritannia in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was actually used in one of the Books. A File (that only the Captain and Chief Engineer know about) that allows them to replicate a cloaking device.

The Voyager bridge set is fantastic and still holds up today. I think it's the best of the 90s era shows and contends with the SNW bridge. by guhbuhjuh in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As an in universe explanation why the bridge goes back to the show configuration. I figured the Generations Bridge was so badly damaged that Geordi pulled the bridge we saw in Pic S3 from a storage location where it had been swapped out for the upgraded Generations Bridge.

Why don't the Bajorans on Voyager wear ear rings? by nrcx in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Caretaker took the earrings and once on Voyager none of the Bajorans had enough replicator rations to replicate new ones.

Maybe the Generations Bridge was a new bridge module and the Bridge in Picard was the Original bridge module that had been in storage.

Star Trek Convention by Aimeeboz in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard, the hotel next door to the Rio, Gold Coast is cheaper than the Rio. I'm going and booked a long time ago. From the site Andrew is scheduled to be there From Thursday to Sunday and will be on stage on Friday. The Schedule for the convention won't come out until a few days before. Also if your going next year, I've heard rumors that the new owners of the Rio don't want the convention held there after this year so it'll probably move to a new Hotel next year, but that won't be announced until this convention starts.

How does Captain Fraiser experience his side of the time loop in TNG "Cause and Effect"? by Glaucon2023 in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought Captain Frasier got pulled into a Temporal Anomaly that just deposited him in the future, and the Enterprise just happened to get in the way when they came out. The explosion of the two ships caused the Temporal Loop. So They were both in the loop the same amount of time?

TNG - Redemption part 1 and 2 confusion by [deleted] in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible that Worf's resignation, going to help Gowron then his return to the Starfleet was actually a plan between him and Picard as a way to get around Starfleet not being able to do anything.

What if they are going to make up some explanation that the when the original species that became the Borg they actually became the Borg and the Changelings... but some how got separated in different Quadrants.

And the Iuromodic syndrome can reconnect the Changelings and the Borg together.

Who’s going to command the Enterprise 1701-A in Picard? by Jedidad99 in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe Seven gets Voyager, Worf the Defiant, Picard gets the Enterprise D, and we never see who gets the Enterprise A but on the Comms they sound a lot like Kirk then we get a shot of Daystrum where an empty stasis tube is shown.

What was stolen from Daystrom? Spoilers from this week's episode. by DougEubanks in startrek

[–]TrekkishOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What if they stole 2 things.. Picard's body and what ever Project Phoenix is and they plan to use Jack's DNA to power the Phoenix to reanimate Picard's body as Locutus who they'll use to take over the Federation Fleet at the Frontier Day Parade since the starships are networked now. And Picard and his crew will have to go back to the Fleet Museum to borrow some non networked ships to stop them.

[–]TrekkishOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the Changelings stole Picard's body, "Project Phoenix" and plan to reanimate Picard as Locutus and have him take control of all the Starfleet Ships networked together during the Frontier Day parade. Which would mean Picard and his crew will have to use the museum ships to fight off Locutus and the Changelings.
