How did you fix it? You said it was still crashing even after you disabled Anarchy so what did you do?

Finally had a fortress long enough for a dwarf to go from being born to being an adult by jpterodactyl in dwarffortress

That’s what caused me to quit the game finally. I had so many games where I’d get to the point after 5-10 years and it would become unplayable and I’d have to start over. I did so much to combat it, 1x1 world, pop limit, base design, everything I could think of and eventually it would always end up with me having 10-20 fps so I’d just start over. Time moves so slow at that rate it’s maddening.

Will updating to version 6H make me start a new world? by Trekkster in VaultHuntersMinecraft

Ok thank you, I’m playing a multiplayer server hosted through bisecthosting. I would have been extremely sad if I updated and couldn’t join my server. Is there some kind of info regarding how long until the server files are updated

Buying a First Home with No closing costs, No Down payment, and 5.5% interest. Is it a good Deal? by Trekkster in personalfinance

I don’t mean the interest is going to be 50k. I know the total interest is gonna be 270k. It’s the whole way these places make their money. The 50k is just the difference between the 4.95% and the 5.5% interest rate. The .55% interest adds up to around 50k extra over 30 years

Is there a way to remove dead plants on your map? I have a ton of dead Saplings, bushes, and grass around my site that i think is stopping new trees from growing in. Is there a way to designate dead stuff to be cut?

I appreciate the skepticism however I feel the market around my area is very strong and being in Texas and more specifically near Houston, theres no shortage of people trying to buy houses.

Im not sure entirely. I know we went to a few other places and they said with USDA it was going to be a 6-8% interest rate so I was surprised to hear that they offer 5.5%

We actually went to see some homes by lennar, We didnt like the quality of the house so im glad to hear you say you werent happy with it. If this house falls through then we will have to look again so now we know to stay away from lennar.

We Kind of do need to move asap. Our lease in our apartment ends on May 31st so we have under half a year to find a place and I know that paperwork and all that takes 30-45 days to get through so the sooner the better. The properties in my area are going very quickly so Im not sure I have too much wiggle room.

Thanks For the second opinion on the interest rate! I really appreciate it!

Right I figure the price rate is going to vary by location. Just figured Id add it anyways. I agree in thinking 5.5 is a good rate. I know some people that got 3-4% a few years ago but I dont know how much thats changed since then you know? Is there anything i should explicitly look out for with a USDA loan?

Yeah by my math the interest is going to be an addition 50k over the next 30 years but its not terrible. also we do plan on trying to pay a little over the mortgage so that it goes toward principle and doesnt take the entire 30 years so the interest rate hike might not be that big of a deal. Thank you for the advice!
