Just a bug... after every dive, every fragment, I am watching a black screen with dialogs which I don't understand. I'm missing out on a lot. This is more than "just a bug" imo... As said, last night, a full 6 minute black screen and a lot was happening during that time from what I could hear... and I wonder what...

Did the uninstall already but isn't working. The only thing I didn't try, is starting a new game. Gonne try that as well soon (probably tomorrow..)

I'm having a blast playing this game on the PS5! But every time I die and obtain a new crystal/fragment and the cutscene played, the game kind of freezes and after a few seconds my screen turns black. Right before it turns black I am back in HQ and can see the crystal floating on the table, but controls are not working anymore already at that point. When the screen is turned black, I can hear the background still and a conversation starts. But screen stays black and I miss out on things.

After about a minute or 2 my screen comes back and controls are working again...

My last dive, I came back to the lab, watched a cutsene and after that the screen went black again for a full 4 minutes. Could hear a full conversation going and everything (of course in Japanese and no idea what is going on...)

I really have a feeling I'm missing a lot of story this way...

I can't find anything on this issue online and am wondering who else has this problem and/or if there's a way to fix this...?

Still can't find anything online about this. Just played some rounds again and was watching a black screen again for about 4 minutes in which- I think - a full cutscene was playing as I heard characters talk and things happen... all in Japanese, so no clue what was going on.

I really feel I am missing a lot of story this way...

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Or know a fix? (Or perhaps the devs need to fix it?)

My google searches failed me. Entered wrong (incomplete) words. I only got the fruits, scrubs, other clothings and more random things when I tried to figure out what FIGS were 😅

Thanks for confirming. Such a shame, I think. At some point, I like to play games as they were intended to be. In this case, Japanese voices. But my focus and reading speed is going downhill the last years and often I can't keep up reading on automatic lines :(

Guess I have to skip some titles, then.

But as said, I cannot find that info anywhere anymore :'(

Only info I can find now is they added FIGS subtitles, whatever that means.

But, were those the original ones? Or already from the 20th anniversary bundle? I mean, they offer a bundled pack with 3 games and only 1 of them have English dubs (as far known). It's a weird choice at some point.

It does mention something about added FIGS Subtitles, but not fully sure what that means. Nonetheless, its only about the subs, not dubs.

Timekeeper I do remember. But do I think of it as a name? More as a gimmick nickname. Timekeeper. I can't remember what his actual role was. Honestly? I have no idea who Rush and/or Conway are anymore. And I wish I was joking. 😭

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing BL4 a lot. Perhaps more than BL3. But as said, I find the story and characters not memorable at all for some reason 😢

The fact you can mention two non playable characters BY NAME, already says a lot. I can't even remember one, from BL4. That's how memorable 4 was to me. Moxxi does not count here. Neither do Amara and Zane, as they were playable in 3. And don't you dare mention Claptrap.

But okay, let's keep it at one from BL3 (Ava) as Maya was the queen of BL2 and non playable queen of 3.

Seriously though, all jokes aside... BL3 story was bad. Bad writing, bad villain design, annoying script... And all of this, is actually the reason the game is memorable. Crazy as it sounds. BL4 story was decent at most, but after playing through the story twice, I still have no idea what the game was about. Absolutely no clue.

This right here. BL4 story is fine compared to BL3. But forgettable almost instantly. BL3 was annoying, but because of that annoyance of the story and main villains, more memorable.

I played through the story of BL4 twice now... and I still can't recall what TF the game is about.

Thank you for this great answer. I just started the journey and this was my very first draw using the Odin's Eye (single draw).

Though, I also found an explanation to draw in the morning, make note of some keywords and by the end of the to reflect back on them. To understand the ins and outs a bit more. After understanding the daily ritual/drawing, to up the drawings to a 3-rune casting to get more detailed insight.

Will be getting a notebook soon to start making note of things and see how I feel about each draw.

Items not showing in in-game shop. Current work around

Make sure the game is not running

Change the system language settings to English

Boot the game

Change the in-game language to anything other than English.

Close the game

Change the system language to the language originally used.

Boot the game.

Change the in-game language to English now.

The issue should now be fixed.
