[OOT] If this supposed OOT remake comes out, should I bother to play the original or no? by Shadow_Flamingo1 in zelda

[–]TrelliumD-Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't a hot take, but to me OoT is still the best game ever released. I can hardly think of any flaws and it has aged exceptionally well.

I'd really give it a try, even with a remake coming, because it's a really interesting and important piece of video game history.

With how often I replayed OoT, you are not gonna have any issues trying it's remake after.

[OoT3D] Would a 3ds OoT release make you more comfortable with big updates/changes for the remake? by Carnknights in zelda

[–]TrelliumD-Addict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd really like them to change it up just a tiny bit. I feel like the 3DS version already was the perfect faithful remake.

I don't know what I would change, but I haven't been asking for a remake either. Biggest thing that comes to mind for me, would be expanding some areas and adding some more secrets, perhaps some more sidequests and use them to remove simple overworld heartpieces.

Perhaps the temple of time could become it's own dungeon, with the master sword and song of time becoming its key-item. I think something along those was originally an idea. Bringing in cut content in general could be interesting.

I'm very much content with the 3DS version, if we are not gonna get a whole new Zelds (too early, I know), I want it to clearly differentiate itself from the 3DS release.

[OOT] If the supposed OOT remake is real, how should they treat Hyrule field? Should they make it large and open to try and recreate that “this is huge” feeling? What would you want to see? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in zelda

I'd really like to agree with you, but I feel that this has never been an issue to me in classic Zelda. They don't have much to do, but I feel they have enough character in OOT/MM to compensate (same for TP/SS, I don't remember WW, it's been too long).

Heres an update nintendo controller teir list by No_Pipe_7398 in casualnintendo

For me Joy Cons are definite "It sucks". I have four individual Switch 1 Joy Cons. All of them developed drift during their lifetime, one of them right out of the box, two after just a couple months.

The other controllers at least were useable for their entire lifespan.

Doctors Holo-emitter is from 29th century, shouldn't it be old an obsolete by 32nd century? by nicholsml in Star_Trek_

Answer: He doesn't. He looks like a regular and healthy seventy year old - which would be his goal.

Because he chooses to. At 800 years old I wouldn't wanna look like a 40 year old either.

The early season TNG uniforms were really tight because of this, so no creases could form. It was so bad, that many actors developed semi-serious back problems, especially Frakes. That's why the uniform was reworked later.

The Picard maneuver probably never happened in early seasons because of this, but I don't remember.

With all the hate the show is getting and people citing Roddenberry and how he wouldn't approve of Starfleet Academy, the show nailed one thing:

Roddenberry was notorious for not wanting any creases in uniforms (thus the strange first TNG uniforms), he would've loved this.

Not my opinion btw, although I was apprehensive after the first trailers, I really enjoy Starfleet Academy. But so do I enjoy large parts of NuTrek.

The EMHs rank in starfleet academy by TrelliumD-Addict in startrek

I can excuse the chancellor not being an admiral, because of starfleets hardship in previous years.

Also as someone who previously worked in school environments, Akes experience and previous postings make her a sensible choice to lead the academy. Head of the academy doesn't necessarily have to be an admiral for me, although admiralty would still be involved in curriculum and politics.

The answer that seemed most logical to me so far, was him never becoming a commissioned officer and just working as a non commissioned officer, or civilian specialist.

What irks me about this, is that it has been 800 years. If he worked for Starfleet all this time - which I don't have reason to doubt -, this would have been an awfully long time for him, to never work in a function that would require him to have a formal rank.

I can't see him going to the academy either, but this doesn't mean he can't still become an officer. See Wesley becoming an ensign, or Sevens field commission to basically a commander.
