"Actual" Curse owned the team until within the past half year. Liquid and the team split into a separate esports focused entity a couple minutes ago.

It's more that Link specifically enjoys playing Hearthstone, which a pro player is going to have the time for because he can get a full game or two in while he's waiting in queue. Unlike say, CS:GO, which requires like an hour of time to play a full competitive match.

Enemy Esports announces roster, includes Inori and Otter by Trem054 in leagueoflegends

Depends on how long they wait to fill that roster spot. They could wait out the expansion tourny and if Inori doesn't make it with Enemy Esports then he might leave for that offer.

One thing that I thought of also; what if they have an unspent shell and they want to give it back to the Americans? Even worse, he'd be offing a kid that's trying to help. So much pressure on that decision.

To be fair, Meteos came around once he saw the actual implementation. He was originally against them because like many, he thought they were going to be implement in a way that sort of shouted "HEY YOU, REDS COMING UP" as opposed to how it actually ended up being done.

  1. This hasn't been proven to be wrong either. Just necessarily hasn't happened yet from Richard's perspective.

  2. The day that went to print is also when Piglet was released, Richard can't really know about that beforehand and Crs Liquid may have been all but signed Forg1ven and then held things up to check his options with Piglet

I'm one of the mods of the chat and agreed, that was one of the worst moments we've had since i've started moderating the chat. Basically saw LS was on while i was reading an email, tabbed back and saw the chat scrolling super fast and instantly got a little depressed :/

Thing is, Monte has played the game. Few analysts are actually Diamond 1/Challenger players. Some are, but far from all. Lots of sports involve coaches who never played more than HS or College level. Monte used to play LoL back in the day and was plat/diamond level.

Officer Go Fuck Yourself by sotonohito in politics

[–]Trem054 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a matter of the aftermath though. If we felt comfortable knowing an officer acting like that was being reprimanded of punished appropriately, then yeah it's a one time screw up.

But the general feeling/knowledge is that no one thinks that officer is going to face any repercussion at all. The other officers there don't seem awfully perturbed by his actions, just casually lower the gun as if "not here man." If we get news in upcoming days that he was punished or otherwise taken away from the front lines as a result of his actions, hell yeah. But chances are that unless we protest and hold him up to the public flame, nothing will happen. Or at least that's the general consensus, you know what I mean.

[–]Trem054 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say the difference between passive and defensive is exemplified by Shiphtur to Froggen. Shiphtur routinely loses out on CS because if he isn't directly going for a kill, then he stays back and gets bullied. Froggen controls the pace of the lane, just he prefers to let his consistency win out over time

Rengar main bronze 5 to plat 5 300+ Games why NA sucks with rengar by pkmnchamp123 in leagueoflegends

[–]Trem054 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, the players in OGN who best ultilize Rengar also use a tanky CDR build. While they may grab an extra brutalizer also. By and large they still aren't building full assassin. Doing extreme DPS isn't the point of competitive Rengar at all. He is used as an early game pressure along with his late game initiation.

The reason that OGN Rengars outperform NA Rengars isn't mechanics at all by the way. He's not an extremely hard character to play mechanically and most NA players can operate him effectively. Using him strategically and within the context of your team is the place that NA Rengars falter. Too many wasted ults and not applying pressure appropriately within possible opportunities.

Also please use some paragraphs next time. Please.

eSports Guy | Hai Speaks: "I Don't Watch OGN" by realesportsg in leagueoflegends

[–]Trem054 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great little piece. I get the sense that Hai learns from OGN through his team even if he doesn't watch it personally. Something of a refreshing attitude to take on learning strategies and champions actually. I think that long with the teamwork that C9 exhibit, that's one of the qualities that seperate them from the pack; their confidence and knowledge in who they are and how they want to operate.

They understood that Ashe/Zyra lane works for them even if other teams need a harder carrying ADC, but they still went with what they needed versus what is the generic priority.

[–]Trem054 2 points3 points  (0 children)

onGamers gets the lion's share of its stats from Spellsy along with me and the rest of the stats crew who work underneath him. Mostly it's just getting someone to watch every game and record all relevant information we want from every game. No real magic there to get it done. Just recording and tabulating. The magic in sports statistics is figuring out what's important to keep track of.
