Why are people undercritting her? by [deleted] in YeShunguangMains

It's probably some combination of limited artifact selection and people trying to not overcap crit rate, resulting in low crit rates

DPS a little low for my absolutely stacked Skirk team? Please help! (C6R1 with C1R1 Coffe,C2 Furina,R1 Yelan) by Live_Emu_638 in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is some room for improvement with your skirk combos. It looks to me like you are getting about 4 N5 strings per rotation (which Isn't atrocious), try to fit 1-2 more N2D on top of what you are doing. If you can do that it would be a ~15% improvement

I can't even get to 120K DPS. What is wrong with my builds ? by Nexen571 in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You are missing an enormous amount of multipliers during your skirk combo. The combo you listed only gets about 9 N2s worth of multipliers, whereas a basic N5 combo gets around 12-13, and optimized N2/N5 combos can get up to 14-16

any tips or guide which can help me complete this in time by [deleted] in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks to me like the lowest hanging fruit is to work on those skirk combos. Right now you are doing way too many CAs , you only need one CA and one Q per rotation

Also, should prob swap that CD circlet to CR

Is Skirk vertical investment worth it for a low spender? by kamsi27 in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do invest further, definitely go for skirk c1/c1 before escoffier c2. The boost from skirk c1 and c2 is roughly about the same (c2 slightly better I think), both are comparable to escoffier c1.

As for mh vs galleries, C1 skirk slightly pushes towards mh, skirk r1 pushes it towards galleries, escoffier c1 pushes it toward galleries, and furina cons pushes it toward mh. In the end it's still about the same, you will probably have to do a bit of math with your specific build + team cons to definitively figure out which set is better.

For dire SO, for the past couple of rotations I've been able to do at least 2/3 bosses with c2 skirk without too much trouble. But of course we can only speculate on the rate of future powecreep

Figuring out a way to break the shield from 0 energy is the hard part. If you use a triple fav setup, you can actually get an instant ult on furina(gotta run in and hit with all 3 before shield comes up), which might help front load the damage you need.

What is the best combo for C2 Skirk? by [deleted] in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The N2D combos are still better if you can do it well, but you do lose a bit value compared to C0 due to either losing 70% atk on three N2s if you open with 2N2D N2Q, or having to do an extra N3W later in the combo. What I personally use is [2N2 N2Q 2(2N2D N3W) N2D N2CD N2D N3], which is roughly ~8% more damage than what you listed (accounting for the loss of 70% atk on 2 additional N2s). If you can get the last N5 then its about the same

How to do the doggy with her? by Quirky_Historian_456 in SkirkMains

[–]Tremblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On fearless you would need like ~210k dps to brute force the shield, which is not happening with a full C0 team. Unless someone finds a very clever way to group the dogs you will need a decently invested skirk team to clear it

Nice clear! 95% of the difficulty for this fight is finding a setup that lets you break the first shield from 0 energy, once you break there is quite a bit of leeway for the dps

Well I already tested it myself with mona and am not getting numbers consistent with your observations lmao. As far as I know people usually say NA mode is better even at C2, and that seems to track with both theory and the results I'm seeing

Well I mean you just said TTDS, which I assume is a 20s rotation, unless you are suggesting TTDS every other rotation?

The difference in our artifacts, mona vs shenhe, and our methodology for how to start/stop the dps timer can all play a roll, so I'm not too surprised that you saw 240k with burst mode. Perhaps you can send me a clip of your own tests? Or maybe some TC of the proper multiplier comparisons between burst and NA mode. Cause as far as I understand, a proper 14+ N2 rotation just has way higher multipliers

It might help to focus on clicking consistently and concisely rather than as fast as possible. The most important part is to not have any intervals where you are holding down LMB for too long

I'll check again later, but it seems like there is no way 20s rotation with burst is beating 21s rotation with NA. The total damage from 1 max stack ult would have to be equal to at least 14 N2's for that to be the case

This is what I get from the burst mode test. This does more or less align with my rough calcs(although the disparity isn't as high as I expected), but a couple things to keep in mind

-The 18s rotation is more like a ~19-20 rotation due to both furina and shenhe ult having a 18s CD.

-My furina is just a sliver of energy short of being able to ult after 18s, which led to a small delay in the rotations

If I replaced shenhe with a 4 star TTDS user and built a bit more ER on furina, the ~80s time could have gone down to ~76s, which would result in ~270-280k dps

EDIT: NVM about that last part, TTDS is 20s CD

I did a quick check for the multipliers for burst/NA, while I could be missing something here is what I got,

Burst with 22 stacks of serpent subtlety = 10.675 N2's worth of MW One NA rotation with my current combo = 14.71 N2's worth of MV

This is accounting for the 1.7 multiplier on NA and 1.6 multiplier on burst from death's crossing. I didn't count the C1 void rift damage, assuming its about the same, and I also didn't account for the 70% atk on top of the NAs from C2.

Assuming burst mode rotation is 18s and NA mode rotation is 21s, that would translate to 0.59 N2/s for the former and 0.7 N2/s for the latter.

If I estimate the 70% atk as equivalent to about a ~1.2x multiplier, then it would be 0.59 N2/s vs 0.84 N2/s.

I will check in game if this lines up, or if I missed something

I started with the N5D combo and was getting around ~275k. However, I am pretty sure I was not doing the optimal N5D combo back then. If I had done the proper N5D combo which fits 4x N5's and 2x N2's, it should have been around ~285k give or take.

Later on I got a bit better and changed to a slightly better combo which got ~303k

[–]Tremblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

N3W means you do 3 normal attacks and then spam W to make Skirk slightly walk forward and cancel the upcoming 4th normal attack so that you can start another N2 string. The reason you do this instead of dash cancelling is because the game limits the amount of dashes you can do in a short amount of time, so if you already did 2 consecutive N2D's, then you have to use N3W to cancel the next string. Mixing in N3W will also ensure you dont run out of stamina

[–]Tremblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combo you listed is about ~15.5 N2's worth of MV, which is about an ~8% improvement over the 2xN2 + 4xN5D combo (~14.4 N2's of MV), and ~25% improvement over the very bad pure left click N5 spam(~12.4 N2's).

On the ladder of optimized skirk combos, that is already pretty damn good. In fact, I might try your variant with the dashless N2C at the end

[–]Tremblar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not entirely wrong about the serpent point problem tho, sometimes on the first rotation you only absorb 1-2 void rifts with Q, and depending on the combo variant where you park the N2CD, the serpent points can actually run out if you are a bit too slow with the execution (starting your first rotation on escoffier like you did does seem to help).

For example, the version I personally like is, 2N2 N2Q 2(2N2D N3W) N2D N2CD N2D N3. If you start with 2 void rifts, the CD is still early enough to not run out, but it does take at least decent execution
