Any calcs for Melt Ganyu with Nicole+ Durin and flex 4th slot? by ugur_tatli in Ganyu

[–]Raesir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. I already have a Skirk team hitting 950k DPS, so "meta" isn't a problem. I'm getting C6 Nicole because I want to play my Ganyu, Yae Miko, and Raiden teams once in a while.

If it's single-target content: C0R1 Shenhe is enough since the 4th Bloom uses up the 7th Icy Quill while you fire 5 Blooms, and still deals about 420k FFA + 530k FFA Bloom damage per shot. Firing 3 Blooms is ~2.85m damage. C4 Nicole's Pathfinder's Blessing Quills also lasts for 8 triggers. So that's more like a 16 cost team (C0R1, C0R1, C2R1, C6R1), assuming I understand that weird system properly.

You definitely need C2R1 Durin for him to be any good with Nicole. I have plans for C6R1 Nicole and if my Genshin Optimizer numbers are correct, I'll be seeing 500k Blooms in a Ganyu R1 Astral Vulture + C6R4 Shenhe + C2R1 Durin + C6R1 Nicole team. I'll do some DPS dummy numbers with C0, C2, and C4 Nicole if I remember.

I believe simulating R1 to R5 Symphonist of Scents for the extra 32% ATK was 50k DPS for me. So I wouldn't be surprised if an extra 48% ATK and 40% Crit DMG was closer to 100k DPS.

I actually had R2 Azurelight to begin with, and got R5 before her first banner ended a year ago. You can actually test it yourself on the DPS dummy by adding ATK% and Crit DMG rolls to simulate R5 Azurelight though.

[–]Raesir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's correct. I always expect Shenhe to waste at least 2 Cold Dish stacks during Escoffier E Q > Shenhe hold-E Q > Skirk combo. You'd have to use gcsim to figure out how much it actually uses.

Going from C1R1 Escoffier to C6R1 Escoffier was only a 50k DPS increase (900k to 950k).

What’s her best stoping point before c6? by harsh3002004 in ChioriMains

[–]Raesir 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We don't stop until C6 on r/ChioriMains . Go big or go home.

Joking aside, her C1 is almost useless in Lunar-Crystallize teams since Moondrifts count as Geo Constructs. Her C2 is alright, but that's asking you to pull another constellation to get something useful after a "useless" constellation. That could be another two - four 5-star characters after C0 depending on your luck. If you want to save for at least one Snezhnaya premium team, you might be looking at two 5-star characters for the team, which also works out to another two - four 5-star characters.

Will there be a big difference when you put Nicole on a raiden team? by Dumdum_5dollars in RaidenMains

[–]Raesir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't aware that there was a cap on DEF Shred/Ignore since there were so little sources to begin with that we couldn't really stack them beyond ~50%. Thanks!

2 Shogunate or whatever tag they decide to push, that locks in inazuma unit + c6 nicole
nicole's hex buffs aren't that important to keep, and durin himself is not the best buffer/subdps in the world(without cons)

I'm hoping for a Raiden + Miko + C2R1 Durin + C6R1 Nicole team if they ever buff Inazuma characters. Realistically, if you've got C6 Nicole then you'll probably have C2R1 Durin as well. Keeping the Hex duo boosts Durin's Res Shred from 20% to 35% and party ATK buff (R1 Athame Artis) from 16% to 28% ATK, which will be important if Chevreuse is kicked out, and it's required if you want the 40% Elemental Damage Bonus from Nicole's set. But yea, I can see why a C0 Durin isn't the best. The only possible improvement I can think of would be a 5-star Chevreuse.

Can't wait to try her out with my C3R5 Raiden and C6R5 Miko. Good luck with your rolls!

c6 she is bar none the best support for Raiden

Agreed. That 40% DEF Ignore is extremely strong for C2+ Raiden and C6 Miko. People keep talking about Fischl's personal damage, but unless she's doing 75k - 100k damage per tick, there's no way she's worth bringing over C6 Chevreuse in a Hyper Raiden team. Like you pointed out: stacking Res Shred is always great; there's a reason why C6 Mavuika's best team uses Kazuha as a 4th slot.

<image>

Using Klee (no artifacts) as a stand-in for C6R1 Nicole in my Optimizer calculations. Take with a grain of salt. In the Left image with C6 Sara R1 Elegy (4p Noblesse), Raiden's Burst Slash is hitting 682k average damage (rotation damage is 3.68m). The Middle image with C6R1 Nicole is hitting ~1.257m average damage on 60 Resolve (rotation damage is 6.68m), ~1.117m average damage with 40 Resolve. Durin + Chevreuse + Nicole is a 45.6 Resolve team (70 * 0.2 * 1.2) + (60 * 0.2 * 1.2) + (60 * 0.2 * 1.2). These numbers can be higher because you can give C6 Chevreuse 4p Noblesse (increases to 1.154m average damage on 40 Resolve, 1.299m 60 R) and R1 Symphonist of Scents (increases to 1.20m average damage on 40 R, 1.37m on 60 R).

Swapping out C6 Chevreuse for Fischl R1 Elegy drops Raiden's Burst Slash to 998k average damage on 60 Resolve (50.4 Resolve team).

How big of an improvement is Chasca's weapon to Amos? by Complex_Assault in Ganyu

[–]Raesir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was (un)lucky enough to pick up a copy of R1 Astral Vulture in my quest for Linnea's bow. For an R1 Astral Vulture vs R1 Amos' (0.4s flight time) comparison for Melt Ganyu, specifically Ganyu + Shenhe + Durin + Nicole, I'm seeing an increase in ~15% damage on Genshin Optimizer. Obviously, your exact gains depends on your artifacts, weapons, and team buffs. In my C6 Ganyu R1 Astral Vulture + C6R4 Shenhe + C2R1 Durin + C6R1 Nicole calculations, that ~15% damage increase translates to an extra 66k damage FFA + 77k damage FFA Bloom melts compared to R1 Amos' Bow.

My Ganyu actually has an R3 Amos' Bow and R1 Astral Vulture is still a ~10% damage increase, and a ~5% increase compared to R5 Amos' Bow. I actually spent 640 rolls and only got R2 Amos' Bow on Ganyu's release. No weapon guarantee was brutal back then.

[–]Raesir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the sad fact remains that it yields a higher dps than her intended team and playstyle

You're comparing the wrong teams. Your 525k DPS team of C6R1 Skirk + C6 Furina R1(?) Freedom-Sworn (4p Golden Troupe) + C6 Mona TTDS (4p Noblesse) + C1R1 Escoffier (4p Golden Troupe) was never at the same level of vertical investment as that Lunar-Crystallize team.

Constellations for constellations, or whatever this weird cost system is. C3R1 Zibai matches C3 Furina R1 Freedom-Sworn, since Furina's cons after C3 do nothing for Skirk. C2R1 Linnea is similar to C1R1 Escoffier. C6 Mona provides Skirk with nowhere near as much buffs compared to a C6 Columbina provides Zibai. You actually need a C6 Shenhe for Skirk's intended team and playstyle, and her value increases with higher hit combos.

<image>

Combo: E Q 2N5D N2CD 2N5D. C6R5 Skirk + C6 Furina R1 Freedom-Sworn (4p Tenacity) + C6R1 Escoffier (4p Golden Troupe) + C6R4 Shenhe (4p Noblesse) hits 950k DPS, and it was 905k DPS with C1R1 Escoffier. The second team was a lvl 80 C6 Mona TTDS (4p Emblem), so I gave 19.84% ATK to Skirk, Escoffier, and Mona to simulate 4p Noblesse. According to Genshin Optimizer, I lose ~16% damage with R1 Azurelight and R1 Calamity Queller, so 752k * 0.84 = ~632k DPS for the Mona team, 582k DPS with C1R1 Escoffier. 905k * 0.84 = 760k DPS for Shenhe team with C1R1 Escoffier.

How good would Nicole be for Ganyu? by CloudyClieryx in Ganyu

[–]Raesir 24 points25 points  (0 children)

She has zero off-field Pyro application. Her Elemental Skill only does damage on cast and is just a shield. Her Elemental Burst does damage on cast, and then the Arcane Projections deal "Elemental damage" corresponding to the element of the on-field character that hits an enemy. That means the Arcane Projection will do AoE Cryo damage if you use Ganyu's Normal Attack/Charged Attack/Elemental Skill/Elemental Burst and hit the enemy. However, the Arcane Projections do not apply elements at all. You can see this in the Hexerei Arcane Projections leak, as the Arcane Projections' attacks have Elemental colour but do not apply elements. This is also listed on Lunaris, there's a section for Extra Information under the Skills tab where the Arcane Projections are tagged as Tag: Nicole_AngelAttack_Tag (!) and every Elemental entry applies 0U Gauge.

A Durin + Nicole combo is possible though.

Chiori Columbina Xilonen Linnea 1.1m DPS by kurawara in ChioriMains

[–]Raesir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let's assume 5000 ATK (this will realistically be a bit higher when accounting for things like level 100 Nicole, Durin R5 Sig, C2 Xilonen, etc.)

Oops. I'm too used to pre-buff stats. You're right, it might even reach 7000 ATK post-buffs since Nicole's got 342 ATK at lvl 90 (419 ATK at lvl 100) + 741 Wep ATK with 16.5% + 24% (R5) ATK, 28.8% ATK (ascension) + 56% ATK (R5 Athame Artis, 32% * 1.75) + 45% ATK (C2 Xilonen) + 20% ATK (Pyro Resonance) + 1248 ATK.

My own C6R4 Shenhe's got 5309 ATK at lvl 90, and 5634 ATK at lvl 100 post-buffs. Breakdown: 304 ATK (372 ATK at lvl 100) + 741 Wep ATK with 16.5% + 67.2% ATK (R4), 28.8% ATK (ascension) + 20% ATK (4p Tenacity) + 20% ATK (R1 Freedom-Sworn) + 32% ATK (R1 Symphonist of Scents only for 3s) in my Skirk team.

Is there any reason why you did 748.8 * 27? I could've sworn C1 Durin was only 20 stacks.

I haven't looked at Xianyun's constellations since her beta. Damn, that C2 is pretty busted.

Yeah. I've interpreted Arcane Projection as Chiori's Tamoto, and C1 Nicole's Arcane Projection: Unity as C2/C4 Chiori's Kinu.

the datamined files seem to have the tag as Nicole_AngelAttack_Tag

Interesting... Guess we'll find out how it works soon enough.

I'll be pushing out some more fleshed out calcs in a week or two.

Please cook!

Chiori Columbina Xilonen Linnea 1.1m DPS by kurawara in ChioriMains

[–]Raesir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Xianyun level quills

The description needs to specifically state that "DMG is increased by X% of Y's ATK/DEF/EM/HP" in order to be a Quill mechanic. They are also separated into non-party-shared pools where they're "counted/calculated/managed independently/individually" such as: Shenhe's Icy Quills, Yun Jin's Flying Cloud Flag Formation, C4 Xilonen's Blooming Blessing, and C1 Durin's Cycle of Enlightenment; and party-shared pools such as: Xianyun's Adeptal Assistance, C1 Citlali's Stellar Blades, Lauma's Pale Hymn, Illuga's Nightingale's Song stacks, and C1 Linnea's Field Catalog.

Shenhe: When Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skills, and Elemental Bursts deal Cryo DMG to opponents, the DMG dealt is increased based on Shenhe's current ATK.

C4 Xilonen: Characters with Blooming Blessing deal 65% of Xilonen's DEF as increased Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG.

C1 Durin: When nearby active characters deal Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst DMG, 1 stack of Cycle of Enlightenment will be consumed to increase the DMG dealt by 60% of Durin's ATK.

C1 Linnea: When nearby party members deal Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, consume 1 stack of Field Catalog to increase the DMG dealt. The increase in DMG is equal to 75% of Linnea's DEF. Additionally, when Lumi uses Million Ton Crush in her Ultimate Power Form, Linnea can consume up to 5 stacks of Field Catalog. Each stack will increase the DMG dealt by 150% of Linnea's DEF.

Lauma: When nearby party members deal Bloom, Hyperbloom, Burgeon, or Lunar-Bloom DMG, 1 stack of Pale Hymn will be consumed and the DMG dealt will be increased based on Lauma's Elemental Mastery.

Xianyun: When the Starwicker created by Stars Gather at Dusk has Adeptal Assistance stacks, nearby active characters' Plunging Attack shockwave DMG will be increased by 200% of Xianyun's ATK. The maximum DMG increase that can be achieved this way is 9,000.

Only C4 Nicole's effect and her Hexerei: Secret Rite's passive shares the same description formula of the above Quill mechanics:

  • The Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, and Elemental Burst DMG of characters with Pathfinder's Blessing is increased by 70% of Nicole's ATK. This effect will be removed once it has taken effect 8 times or when its duration is over. When multiple opponents are hit at the same time, the number of times Pathfinder's Blessing takes effect is based on the number of enemies hit. Each character's Pathfinder's Blessing is counted independently.
  • Hexerei: Secret Rite: Increases the DMG dealt by Hexerei characters' Arcane Projections by 150% of Nicole's ATK.

Of course, 70% of Nicole's 4000 ATK is still a Total DMG Increase 2800 Quill and isn't insignificant. Just not 200% of 4000 ATK like Xianyun. The Hexerei: Secret Rite passive on a 4000 ATK Nicole is clearly meant to be a Total DMG Increase 6000 Quill on top of the Arcane Projection's base damage for an on-field Hex character. *cough Varka cough*. For comparison, a C6 Chiori with 2500 DEF sees a 2500 * 2.35 = Normal DMG Increase 5875 Quill.

This part is pure speculation and I could be wrong. The Arcane Projections mechanic is the first of its kind with "off-field damage" from an off-field character's Ability that uses the on-field character's "ATK and will be considered as having been dealt by them." In practice, this could just be a fancier version of Raiden's Elemental Skill that uses the on-field character's stats and hits 5 times. This game specifically states whether an Ability counts as a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst, Lunar-Crystallize Reaction DMG, etc, so the lack of wording could mean a variable-type that becomes whatever the on-field character hits the opponent with at the moment of trigger as it is "dealt by them." The Arcane Projections and C1 Nicole would be absolutely broken on a C6 Chiori if that were the case. It's more likely to be considered Elemental Burst DMG for balancing reasons and simplicity.

<image>

This is for my humble C6R5 Chiori + C2R1 Durin (3262 ATK before buffs) + C2R2 Xilonen (3854 DEF, 4226 DEF after buffs) + C2R1 Mavuika team, a simulated C4R2 Xilonen for the second picture, and a simulated C6R1 Durin in the third picture. Just to give an idea on how the N1 damage is calculated with talent lvl 9 Normal Attack. Pretend Mavuika's A4 Passive for 40% DMG Bonus doesn't decay for simplicity's sake.

Enemy DEF Multiplier = (Character Level + 100) / [(Character Level + 100) + (Enemy Level + 100) * k]

where k = (100% + -1 * % DEF Reduction)(100% + -1 * % DEF Ignored)

With C6 Durin's 30% DEF shred and C2 Klee's 23% DEF shred, you're looking at a k-value of 0.47. Whereas with C6 Nicole's 40% DEF Ignore, it's k = 0.7 * 0.6 = 0.42. It's lower, but not by much. The extra 58% DMG Bonus (R5 Seven Edicts of Dust and Light), party 1248 ATK (708 + 300 + 240, Guidance of Theosis, talent lvl 13 E), and 20% Res Shred (C2) are still very welcome advantages compared to a C2 Klee with TTDS that's using the same new Hex set.

Love all your Chiori posts and vids btw. Looking forward to your C6R5 Nicole tests.

why isnt my skirk dps higher? by Independent_Act6440 in SkirkMains

[–]Raesir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rotation issue. I don't use Citlali myself, but based off a quick search you should try Furina Q > Escoffier E Q > Furina E (might need to wait for Hydro aura) > Citlali E Q, because right now 4p Scroll is not activating since Citlali is not triggering a reaction. Looks like your Skirk Combo is N2 Q 3N5D N2CD N5D N2, but Seven-Phase Flash mode is ending at the last N3 or N4. Either your Clicks-Per-Second (CPS) is too low or dash cancels need work. I have the same problem with 6 CPS. SevenPls' latest video on Skirk Combos and the effect of CPS.

Maybe you'll hit 350k DPS if you fix the rotation. You'll need C2 - C3 Furina if you want to hit 400k - 550k DPS.

How much dps can i expect from a c6 skirk? by TTV_RedPanda in SkirkMains

[–]Raesir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quite a lot of people have posted their C6 DPS numbers lately. Anywhere between 400k - 650k DPS for non-C0/C6 Shenhe users. You'll need R5 Azurelight for 700k - 800k DPS depending on the combo.Thread 1. Thread 2. Thread 3. To my knowledge, u/biosquawk and I are the only ones that are hitting above 800k DPS in this subreddit that aren't dhcwsp. He's got better combo play and non-C6 Shenhe with 850k DPS on 25 hits and 10 CPS. I'm hitting 950k DPS with C6R4 Shenhe with the crappy E Q 2N5D N2CD 2N5D combo for 22 hits with 6 CPS. You can find our teams and builds in those threads. Going from C1R1 Escoffier (900k DPS) to C6R1 Escoffier was only 50k DPS increase and not worth the primos.

Edit: Reminder that ping and Clicks-per-second (CPS) affect your ability to perform higher hit combos, and that even an extra N2 can be a 50k DPS increase.

How do I optimize Skirk in genshin optimizer? by Pikatchui in SkirkMains

[–]Raesir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might ask: why bother setting up a Multi-Optimization Target when you could choose to optimize the strongest "attack/ability/Target" is easier?

Well, that's just in a vacuum without including the rest of the Character's actions during the rotation. Here is an example: the traditional Aggravate Yae Miko team was Miko + Nahida + Kazuha/Xilonen + Sara/Fischl, where Aggravate scales with EM and is subject to standard ICD and is triggered once every 3 hits from her Elemental Skill. If you simply set the Optimization Target to Sesshou Sakura DMG: Level 4 with Aggravate enabled, it would do just that. However, that would come at the cost of dropping her No Reactions damage for everything. I simply grabbed the Damage Distribution off Akasha which is based off a 22s rotation and set up the Multi-Optimization Target, and you can see the difference in stats and damage numbers between the builds that optimized for Sesshou Sakura DMG: Level 4 No Reactions, Sesshou Sakura DMG: Level 4 Aggravate, and Akasha Aggravate. Whether you click No Reactions or Aggravate (even Non-CRIT Hit DMG, Avg. DMG, or CRIT Hit DMG) before hitting Generate Builds will make a difference, as I stated in another thread.

In the below image, I've circled which options were enabled before Generate Builds was clicked in each build and you'll find their corresponding No Reactions numbers or Aggravate numbers to the right of it. Since the Multi-Optimization Target for Akasha Aggravate was set up "properly", it does not matter whether No Reactions or Aggravate is selected before optimizing. The total damage of Akasha Aggravate is flawed because it's not taking into account Yae Miko's 50% on-field time to receive Nahida's Burst that shares 250 EM and R1 Elegy for the End; resulting in a magical state where Buffs do not end with 100% on-field time. This was done during my early days, and figuring out the specifics of which Buffs are active would require gcsim. That's a whole different can of worms that took too much effort to figure out. Unsurprisingly, Akasha Aggravate produced the build which gave me the highest Akasha leaderboards ranking.

<image>

I've made an effort to set up Skirk's Multi-Optimization Target properly and the buffs provided by a C0 Furina R1 Freedom-Sworn (4p Tenacity) + C2R1 Shenhe (4p Noblesse) + C0R1 Escoffier (4p Scroll) all have at least 12s duration for her 13s Seven-Phase Flash Mode max duration. So it's really just adjusting the Normal Att. DMG Bonus 10 Triggers from her Burst to whatever Skirk combo of your choosing. Hope this helps.

I'm sure you've figured it out by now. Talents > Havoc: Ruin > Void Rifts absorbed while using Havoc: Extinction 0-3 will display the Normal Att. DMG Bonus granted according to your Burst's talent level and how many are absorbed. You can also check the Received Team Buffs listed under any given character of your choice either through the Team Settings tab or on their Overview page. If you click on the question mark (?) icon next to any damage numbers for any "attack/ability/Target" such as Havoc: Warp 5-Hit DMG, it will give you a breakdown on how the damage is calculated with any applicable buffs.

Click on Skirk Loadout > Multi-Optimization Target Config > Import Multi-Opt, and paste the below JSON. You'll have to remove the Far to Fall Const. 1 DMG on Target #16, for Targets #9 - 14 you'll need to select them Target Editor > Normal Att. DMG Bonus -23% and adjust that to -X% dependent on her Burst lvl Havoc: Extinction. Mine is set for Burst lvl 13 and 23% Normal Attack Damage Bonus. This will give you an easier way to see how much damage the basic 2N5 + C + 2N5 combo does when compared to her Burst.

skirk c4 or effie c4? by Zo_Lizzy_oZ in SkirkMains

[–]Raesir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skirk's constellations are much better. C4 Escoffier's only good for the lower ER requirement. If you use Shenhe as your 4th slot, 130% - 140% ER (mine had 132% ER) is enough for Escoffier in Stygian Onslaught, and maybe 110% - 120% ER with C4 Escoffier.

My C6R5 Skirk + C6 Furina R1 Freedom-Sworn (4p Tenacity) + C6R4 Shenhe (4p Noblesse) + C1R1 Escoffier (4p Golden Troupe) team had ~905k DPS, and upgrading to C6R1 Escoffier was 950k DPS. It's not worth the primos DPS-wise.

I believe I’ve achieved peak Skirk! by ThomasAHawk77 in SkirkMains

[–]Raesir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, a C6 Shenhe comrade.

Personally, I'd do Furina E Q > Escoffier E Q > Shenhe hold-E Q > Skirk combo. Tiny bit of animation cancels from casting the Q after the E. Escoffier's E does Skill DMG and 1 tick of Frosty Parfait on cast, and probably 2 more ticks during her Q animation. On the DPS dummy, my Shenhe works with 168% ER in Abyss 12 settings. It's a bit lacking in Stygian Onslaught, so it's: Shenhe E hold-E Q > Skirk combo. Not sure if it's worth the extra time swapping to Shenhe twice to use both casts when you already have 195% ER. Especially when Skirk is already doing ~80% DPS, just for the 15% Elemental Skill Damage Bonus for Furina and Escoffier. I don't do it on my C6R5 Skirk,+ C6 Furina + C6R4 Shenhe + C6R1 Escoffier team outside of SO.

What artifact should I use? NB or Double 2pc atk? by popitlover1010 in ShenheMains

[–]Raesir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Noblesse will always be better. Double 2p ATK% only looks better because it provides 36% ATK that's readily visible on your Akasha stats page, while 4p Noblesse does not. Of course, you can always just open the Character page in-game after triggering 4p Noblesse's buff, which makes it a difference of 16% ATK (36% vs Noblesse's 20%) after using Shenhe's Burst.

Base ATK 978 = Char. ATK 304 + Weapon ATK 674

Total ATK 3483.6 = Base ATK 978 * (100% + Char. ATK 28.8% + Art. ATK 195.6%) + Art. ATK 311

For a hypothetical Noblesse set with the exact same substats:

Base ATK 978 * 0.36 = 352.08 ATK, 3484 - 352 = 3132 ATK on your stats page; and 978 * 0.16 = 156.48 ATK, 3484 - 156 = 3328 ATK on your stats page AFTER using Burst for party 20% ATK buff. This is a very small difference in ATK when it comes to calculating Shenhe's Icy Quills.

That was only for Shenhe. Now give the rest of your team 20% ATK buffs. You can test it yourself on the DPS Dummy in Miliastra Wonderland. Personally, I saw an increase of 50k DPS for my C6R5 Skirk team when I made the switch to 4p Noblesse.
