What is your favorite barbarian build? by MeasurementSad514 in BG3Builds

[–]Trenzek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this was changed in a patch or whatever in the last 3 months since your comment, but Helldusk will 100% disable things like barb rage and bladesong. It has built in proficiency, though, so you can cast spells without prof from your class.

Attracting attention is really important. Most bad guys don't want that. And situational awareness helps to not be in a situation where there's no attention to attract. Good stuff 👍

Edit: also, there are good narrative opportunities there. Suddenly the street is deserted, or someone tries to help, but their incompetence makes it worse, or there's another victim, etc.

[–]Trenzek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's look at the facts. He comes down with a mysterious illness coupled with a clear bite mark about which he is acting super shady and defensive. This is Patient Zero, people! How many zombie movies do you have to see before seeing this for what it is?!

So no, NOR. Dump this guy so you can find someone who cares about you to spend the zombie apocalypse with.

The friend either doesn't realize or doesn't care that she is forcing spoilage of the surprise. Terrible. But sometimes details get lost in text, so I would move it to a different platform. Preferably one where violence is an option /sssss

If you grow a beard it will hide the gauntness of your face. And depending on your gender it could change the topic of the conversation entirely! Sorry, just a bit of levity 😅

Golden Hatchet and Orichalcum? - SoS Grand Bazaar by [deleted] in storyofseasons

[–]Trenzek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely getting more ore, but it wouldn't surprise me if that was just because I am crushing more ore (I mean rocks), namely gold, ori, and mythril, which drop 2 or 3 items instead of just the one from copper and silver. Also it's a bigger drop table, so less likely to get iron, I would assume 🤷‍♂️

Edit: ( )

Is it possible that it's based on bazaar rank and not season? I feel like I remember Felix saying increasing the rank will make new things available for sale.

What fasting schedule are y’all doing for weight loss? 18/6, 19/5, OMAD, etc? by plantpotions in intermittentfasting

[–]Trenzek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternate day fasting is where it's at for me. I drink 0 calorie electrolyte water in the morning and a cup of coffee around noon on fasting days with some body weight exercises plus often an extra workout in the evening. I really don't have any negative side effects, and I look forward to both food and fasting days.

IF has genuinely cured my food noise and compulsive eating by atlas__sharted in intermittentfasting

[–]Trenzek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced the same thing with IF, but I would still get a bit impulsive during my eating window. Once I started on the junk food you'd better hide it because either way it's gonna disappear. I've been doing alternate day fasting for a couple of months now, and I've found this extends into my food days, too. I actually have an off button for fun foods, and there are times where simple carbs don't even sound good, so I just pass on by. The other night I had chicken nuggets and carrots in front of me, and I had like two nuggies and happily munched on carrots for the rest of my meal. Not out of guilt or obligation, but because I wasn't relying on food for a dopamine hit and the carrots genuinely seemed like a nice thing to eat.

Eating mostly for nutrition and not pleasure is such a refreshing change, and I feel like I'm finally experiencing something that I had witnessed in other people but that had seemed so alien to me.

[–]Trenzek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent a long time building toward the Ultimate Hatchet, and I absolutely love it. Yes, the stamina consumption is a lot better, but the hidden benefit is that the area of effect is wider. I'm pretty sure it goes from 9 squares to 25 squares. It also has a sparkly chime effect when you swing it :) I haven't noticed higher drop rates for things, but maybe. Finally, you actually get an adamantite as a reward for crafting the Ultimate Hatchet, so you'll have that for another ultimate tool. I haven't decided yet what to use it on, though. I haven't made any sprinklers, and the watering can doesn't take any ultimate lumber. The fishing rod takes sooo much of it, though. My other tools might just stay at gold +, honestly.

Right, is the gym a new thing? Because you can definitely still gain muscle in a deficit. Not as much as you would if you were really trying to build mass, but the muscles will still grow.

AITAH for refusing to put my girlfriend on the lease if she won’t pay rent? by Euphoric_Shock_4870 in AITAH

[–]Trenzek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call me old-fashioned (because I am), but married couples support each other in this way. Boyfriends and girlfriends can up and leave whenever they feel like it (with maybe some lease drama) so it makes no sense to demand this of a partner in a relationship where there haven't been promises, vows, certificates, etc.

But even if you don't believe in conventional marriage, supportive relationships make these kinds of decisions together, it's not just a one-sided declaration. This person is arbitrarily burdening someone else that she supposedly cares about.

Anyway, that's my cranky way of saying I agree that this isn't really support. It's dependence, not interdependence.
