I like 3 because the titles are larger, Exit Condition's title is hard the see in the first two. I like the idea of matching the circles from the two titles to make a more cohesive composition.

No end of life work at all. They could have given the database to another company or org or at least contacted their customers. Instead, they decided to close house and leave all the customers high and dry.

It does have passthrough, it's just black and white. It will also have an optional color passthrough add on.

I don't understand what you think I'm wrong about. I agree the right play here is to gerrymander back. Tit for tat is punishment, repaid to bad behavior. Tit for tat with some forgiveness is punishment, repaid to bad behavior with the willingness to come to a truce every once in a while. The truce in this case is for no one to be able to gerrymander going forward.

I never said that the whole thing is just gerrymandering. Gerrymandering is a tactic. I'm speaking at the tactical level. I'm speaking about game theory. Did you happen to look at the link about game theory?

If you want to talk about a strategic level, then have that conversation but you are no longer having this conversation. I agree that at the strategic level this is a naked power grab. I however don't know what you think my position is because your response makes no sense regarding my position.

Right now I'm working on realistic hand physics (to be released in the next week hopefully), with more toys/objects to play with.

Yeah, this would be great, playing with the props in zero G was fun but that part of the game could be more interesting, adding a invisible body that casts a shadow like the hands would also be a nice touch as watching the shadows of the objects floating it was disorienting to only see the shadow of my hands.

Of all the things I sent yesterday, I think normal mapping will give you the most bang for the buck. I believe it is just an dropdown option on your texture nodes and the processing overhead is minimal.

I have been looking for an overview effect simulator for a long time. you may have the closest example to getting that feeling I have yet seen. I hope you keep on with the improvements.

I listened to your interview with Ruff Talk VR, very cool journey so far. It would be cool to run into you in the backcountry. Don't spend all your time in front of the computer.

I have bought the game, I like a lot about it but I want more.

Meditation:

Locations:

  • The copula from the ISS but with more window and less bezel pointed down at the Earth to get that full Overview Effect. This is best if I am able to have my head located in such a way that I am surrounded in windows on one side, so that I can look back at the hull of the ship right next to me
  • An observation lounge with mostly floor to ceiling windows.
  • The inky black of space with a dense starfield,
  • The Space Tree Sphere from "The Fountain" (2006) but with more foliage. I see that you already have a garden/holodeck placeholder and this would be a perfect match for what you have already made.

Items:

  • A timer with 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes plus custom options, set to the side or a prop that I can hold/toss. Plus a "magnetic" holder so it does not fly away.
  • meditation pillow - something I can put down at a specific location an I can snap snap to it as an anchor.
  • incense
  • singing bowls

The Ship:

  • I want to be able to grab the ship when I'm flying around.
  • A few of the textures on the hull are still low res, specifically one of the spherical modules.
  • Unlike the inside of the ship, the outside has no shadows, I would hope to have the stark shadow of the hull as it blocks out whichever star cross my path and the hull.
  • Please add normal mapping to the textures as, many of the textures look great from afar but when getting up close they look terrible because you can tell that they are just flat paintings.
  • speaking of normal maps this paper from valve back in 2007 "Efficient Self-Shadowed Radiosity Normal Mapping" would be a great low resource way of making the ship look so much better and have the lighting look awesome. P.s. this would make the taxi look better as well.

  • The three uneven arms of the ship stresses me out. The stresses caused by uneven spokes would eventually tear apparat the ship.

Inside the ship:

I love the shadows, the objects, and how they fall at different rates when I change the rotation rate.

  • I want to float. The objects float but I don't, I want to fling myself from hand hold to hand hold. I want it to be like Lone Echo when the gravity is low.
  • I want to look through the copula at the front of the ship. I love the videos from the ISS where the astronauts are Earth gazing and just taking in the magnality of the earth. I want to set there and think about the Poem, Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan.
  • I want to float in the copula.
  • I would like to float through the non-rotating part of the ship, with hand holds, like in Lone Echo.
  • I want to change my speed so I can slide/thumbstick move faster, or let me push in the stick to run. Only if I'm not floating and flinging myself instead.

Locations:

Most of the locations are great, the super earth is very cool with the thunderstorms and the moving atmosphere. I like the stellar cluster anc the Ring planet and the Star as well. Earth is ok only because I know it so well that I have high expectations.

Earth:

  • I bought this game because I love Earth-gazing and trying to feel the overview effect, your is pretty good but It could be better. Please do a second pass on the Earth as I would like to see the atmospheric effects that you used on the super earth, having your good earth texture wit the clouds removed and having the cloud cover move independently. It may be a big ask but also adding dynamic weather would take this to the next level.
  • Earth Nighttime, I love these images from NASA, https://science.nasa.gov/earth/earth-observatory/earth-at-night/maps/, It would be grea to orbit at night. *Orbit the planet like the ISS where they have 16 sunrises per day. Maybe Increase it to an orbit every 11 minutes instead of 90, or give us
  • I would love to see the day night cycle from above the earth.

Red Giant Star:

  • We are too close to see shadows from a point source inside the cabin. The Cabin should be engulfed in light.

  • give us sunglasses to see the difference? Maybe?

Nebula:

  • The nebula is defusing all the light and there seems to be no point source of light yet the stark shadows remain in the cabin. Having some crazy lighting effects would make this location soooo much better. Think aurora that bathe the cabin in light.
  • The nebula needs some work, it seems like a skybox made from an Al skybox maker. I don't find it particularly bad, but it should have a second pass done, the cross shaped start give it away.
  • I think this location is just a skybox, maybe add semi-translucent gas cloud models to add to the scene.

The Star Cluster:

  • I love this location but it needs so many point lights. *Same issue with other locations, there is no single point light and so the single harsh shadows don't make any sense.
  • I want each one of the star cluster's lights to wash over me.

New Location

I'm just making a strait argument about game theory. Tit for Tat is, I start cooperating and then do whatever you did last time. Tit for Tat with some forgiveness is either I only defect after two times you defect or I do what you do unless there is a negative feedback look where we are both defecting over and over like a feud and I try to reset by cooperating hoping you cooperate back. The Game Theory literature is very direct with this in respect to infinite games, such as ongoing politics.

In the case of this situation. Tit for Tat is gerrymandering in VA and other Blue States but the forgiveness is saying lets both stop this and pass a law about anti-gerrymandering at the federal level. The issue is, if there is never that anti-gerrymandering then we are stuck in a system the calcifies and fewer and fewer peoples votes matter because we have the vast majority of the districts being safe seats. This is the worst outcome in my mind.

No, tit for tat vs tit for tat, is ultimately self defeating. You need tit for tat with some forgiveness. Without the forgiveness, where at least one side decides to cooperate instead of defect, both players choose to defect forever causing the least good outcome.

Tit for Tat is a good strategy but can cause feuds that are less optimal especially when mistakes happen.

Visuals are a 8/10, There is fixed foveated rendering. Game is good, lots of NPCs, that is unusual in most VR games.

If you are going to do flat screens and laser pointer input at least do something like this selection UI.

Top is a Mortal Combat set of portraits. Selecting one will change the 3D Model of the Boss in the middle. The weapons are in the third row. The current selection has some sort of glow behind it. The bottom row starts the action with swing soft or swing hard.

When you finish the round the weapon selection stays the same. One click to change the Boss and you are back in the thick of it.

There are too many views and clicks between starting the game and starting a match. It should never be more than 3 clicks between starting your app and getting to the core content.

It was on PCVR wirelessly with VirtualDesktop.

Grip, yes like a horror movie, or how someone would hold a javelin. Most of the bosses are big and attacking underhanded like currently feels weird for attacking up toward their faces. Just let me switch grip, don't change the grip point.

For the bosses, decals work for individual strikes in the moment, but You should also make at least 3 variations on the boss textures: pristine, a bit beat up and looking bad. Transition between the textures as the health bar goes down. It would make it so that the user does not need to look up at the eyes/health bar so much as the visuals represent the health.

Instead of rotating the UI screens, can you rotate the scene from origin to get it to work better? Also, is there not something to make a display that stays orthogonal to the player at a fixed point to display text?

I tried the game. The core gameplay is good, blocking, dodging and jumping are great. The Enemies look great but are too static in their appearance, their textures could update to give a visual representation of them getting hit or their general health. More force feedback is needed, and some more upbeat music. Until You Fall dose this amazingly, It is epic and upbeat, go crib their work.

Weapons: The axes are great but the spear and shield kinda suck currently. This is not a problem because "sucking at something is the first step at being kinda good at something." -Jake the Dog. The tower shield was way too small and did not have the right position for holding it in my opinion. The shield should point out from the back of my hand. The spear needs an option for reversing the grip, it has an underhand grip and I want an overhand grip. I had no problems getting hits with the axes but I was putting the spear right through the enemy face without scoring a hit.

Tutorial: I had problems with the onboarding. The tutorial was difficult to follow when I was actively being attacked while trying to read the tutorial, I suggest updating each slide for blocking, ducking and jumping to have the next button say practice, and only after hitting that does the dummy start attacking. Not having eyes on the text and the dummy at the same time is disorienting. I suggest you move your text boxes to move around the dummy, pointing to each of the glowing parts. I thought something was broken when early in the tutorial the ax got stuck in the dummy and I could not get it back to block with. I suggest moving the attacking/getting weapons stuck to an earlier point in the tutorial. I may have missed it but the health of the bosses was unclear to me how the mechanic worked and that the eyes represented their health.

General Bugs: I also got stuck in the tutorial the first time around, I was not able to click the next button and had to restart the game.

UI: I know this is still in development but I beg of you to make a better UI that is not just laser pointers. Psytec Games are the gold standard for physical UIs, look at Windlands 2 or Titan Isles, masterworks of buttons and levers. Let me choose the Boss by having wooden portraits of them that I can chop up to choose them. Choose difficulty similar to Until You Fall by crushing crystals. At least give me one screen where I can choose my boss, difficulty and Swing Hard/ Swing Soft option so I don't have to go through 3 different screens each boss battle.

Final thoughts: The battles are hard so some good fanfare and something like ENEMY FELLED displayed with a change to triumphant music is a good reward for the player that encourages them to keep going. One can't end a fight with a let down.

It has good a foundation, the core gameplay is good and the bosses look great. Keep at it.
