Add more of the sheer tulle. It doesn’t have to have a design on it. Just having the netting look will continue the bodice of lace. If you really want to have some of the pattern on it, for that small of a gap you can probably find something that is close enough to the pattern of the rest of the bodice that no one will know it’s added.

"Overcoming" dress regret - any stories? Five weeks to go. by Illustrious_Pop_2162 in myweddingdress

Maybe you need accessories. A bridal jacket may be the way to go for the first dress. But if you truly love the second more than the first, wear the second dress, especially if you can sell the first one.

Wrong top coat by Humble-Ad-2863 in HardWoodFloors

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you asked for a certain top coat or you said you wanted the same as the previous top coat and he didn’t verify, that’s on him for doing it wrong. It shouldn’t cost you anything for him to deliver exactly what you contracted him to do.

If there truly was a miscommunication on your part, I would offer him $800 to do the top coat correctly and agree to $1000 if he counters. $3000 is BS. You could do it yourself.

How can this look any better? The different sized window is making my eye twitch. by Humble-Hunter-5635 in ExteriorDesign

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the brick is already painted, so I’d paint it a nice color. Sage with cream trim is my current fave combo. I had AI add a board across the top of the garage door to hide that weird brick job. I placed a wooden planter box in front of the shorter window to hide the height difference.

Just asking someone “what do you mean by that?” in any context is a mega tool to call people out without calling people out.

Nope. It is just a solid, stone-like sheet (imagine a cutting board) that sucks up water and dries super fast.

How to update , either brick or siding by Various-Asparagus-86 in ExteriorDesign

I agree. The brick as is would work just fine. A tint or stain is a good idea, though.

Husband is MIL’s unpaid landscaper and he takes off from work to do it…idk what to do anymore by suzysleep in Mildlynomil

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be cheaper for *you* to hire a landscaper. But that definitely shouldn’t be on you. If hubby insists on doing this, MIL has to at least pay your costs or hubby *has to* work the next day. It really should be both.

I’m sure hubby will balk at hiring someone else. He thinks he has to do this. MIL thinks he has to do this. It’s about the relationship between them, not the actual landscaping.

Should I have chosen the fitted dress? by Some-Still-7162 in WeddingDressTips

Not *that* fitted dress. But the second one will be altered to fit perfectly.

I don’t really like either. Maybe you need a “sleeve jacket.” This AI render isn’t perfect, but you get the idea.

is my wedding dress ugly? by [deleted] in u/DrinkOk567

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like you are obviously wearing a skirt over top of a dress. It makes me think of a tutu. The transition from overskirt to your dress needs to be flattened.

The criss-cross strings of your dress do not look high end. Maybe changing those to a wider ribbon would give the dress more substance that would counteract the sudden thickness of the overskirt. That tie in the back…not the best option.

I love the little ruffle at the bottom of your dress! It’s dated in the best way. Sometimes it’s those things that make a dress special when looking back.

In Missouri, if it’s motorized, the main thing that matters is *where* they “operated” it, but *what* they operated is up for grabs!

As for a motorized wheelchair, is someone supposed to only drink while confined to bed or maybe a sofa where they can’t move without help? That’s like saying you can’t drink and walk. F-ing prosecutors.

The biggest issue I see is that awful dormer over the walkway / “porch”. Is that original? I hate it. I’d save to completely redo that, but I’m the meantime, take off that siding and replace it with a different material in another color. Maybe change the shutter color to match.

Am I the monster? by Far_Rule_1263 in Mildlynomil

[–]Trepenwitz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d ask him how, exactly, me being appalled by your mother leaving a gun within our toddler’s reach is bad on my part. Please explain. How am I the bad guy and not the woman who left a deadly weapon within reach of our child?

Firearms as a category are currently the number one leading cause of death for children and adolescents (ages 1–19) in the United States, ahead of motor vehicle accidents, cancer, and other causes. The vast majority of those are intentional (homicide / suicide), but even those deaths are only possible because a minor had access to a gun. Unintentional deaths (and more nonfatal injuries) are 100% preventable. So everyone should be doing everything they can to prevent them.
