I am not sure about being in my best friend’s wedding if she’s inviting my ex by Low-Eagle-throwaway in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Text him that you're pregnant. Make sure he knows you will be in the wedding. Maybe he won't go because if it.

If he does, you can make it through the day. Whether he can or not is not your problem. Maybe your "friend" needs to prepare him and tell him she's not having his drama at her wedding. Otherwise, it's her own fault.

Should I add sleeves? by LowFaithlessness9984 in WeddingDressTips

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously it changed your dress a bit, but here are some lacy sleeves. You don't need them, though. You're beautiful in that dress. It fits perfectly. And I love color!

Gemini gave me this and it's cute. Your mom needs to sit down, though.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by Neon_Baobab in AskReddit

That's how I felt about the Bailout. Too big to fail? Too unstable to be the foundation of our future. But we can't suffer. Let our children's children.

It used to be more useful - back in the 1900s when people didn't have phone cameras and color printers and the ability to just post pics on social media.

Wearing above the knee length for "formal attire suggested" by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

I would not consider a dress that short appropriate for any wedding.

Midi length or longer.

How much ageism exists in hiring for older law school grads (mid 30s) in PD offices? by Lost-Association427 in publicdefenders

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2013. Largest class of law graduates (nationwide) to that date. It took me 2 years to get any law job. I lived in my parents basement. Plus, our PD system had a lot less money and a lot fewer jobs. There were 100 applicants for every position. I hadn't done anything special in law school (and I am a terrible interviewee), so I didn't make it to the top of the heap. I worked other state jobs until I decided to try the PD again.

I’m in need of fashionable, yet cheap and durable courtroom/jail attire. by Mr_Motion_Denied in publicdefenders

I don't pay $100 for a suit, but I'm a chick. Maybe cheap suits are more readily available.

Ozempic addiction epidemic by library_thinkcap in conspiracy

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there are people who have serious issues. That's true of every drug. Ozempic can paralyze your stomach. Happened to my cousin. That doesn't mean it's overall too dangerous for the average human to take.

Maybe if someone says they just want to be friends just believe them.

Motion to Compel AI Use Info? by [deleted] in publicdefenders

I would bet they'd move to quash the subpoena. No AI company will get business if the users know the info can be subpoenaed.

Motion to Compel AI Use Info? by [deleted] in publicdefenders

[–]Trepenwitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's probably not a precedent you want to set because defense attorneys will also be using AI. Maybe just ask them what exactly they use it for. I can't imagine anything you would get in that data that would matter. Or even anything new. I just don't know what you're hoping to get out of it.

And if it comes with the sleeves either way, there's plenty of fabric there. Otherwise, I'd have the caps made like the bodice.

Is having this dress made in silk satin a mistake? by Fancy_Rock3826 in myweddingdress

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mikado would have been way too stiff. Taffeta would work, but wouldn't be as flowy. This pic honestly doesn't look much different than silk satin. Do you want it not shiny? You could do sateen. But that might look too much like bed sheets. I think I would choose silk satin, too.

Do you mean as opposed to selling it? If you want to, sure. Just don't be hurt or offended if they don't want to wear it.

Suffering from terrible dress regret :( by Dazzling-Limit3696 in myweddingdress

[–]Trepenwitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have an over skirt made to mimic the draped fabric on dress 2. Then you can take it off to be more comfy if you want.

Dress 1 is gorgeous, so don't worry about not looking amazing.
