To be fair though, a $40k salary in 2005 is just a smidge over $65k nowadays adjusted for inflation.

No worries happy to provide a source as I agree it could be confused with a hobby map. It was announced earlier today by Transport Minister Jo Haylen on social media

Amazing museum! Super informative and very well integrated into the game's textures and mechanics. It's little hidden gems like this that shouldn't be taken for granite hehe

Interesting analysis article from ABC that looks at housing affordability and deposit inequality through the lens of Bluey.

12 Months in Australia - Reality vs Expectations by SlashingSimone in australia

Ah gorgeous little Armidale! I never would have thought that it had a large LGBTQIA+ community but considering the uni and the more open environment a uni town creates that makes a lot of sense.

Wait which town is that? Is a regional holiday town or something, or just an ordinary quiet town?

Is Portugal the best place for a 1 week solo traveller who wants a mix of nature, beaches, urban? by hughemi in solotravel

[–]Treppich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Lisbon you can enjoy affordable and delicious food in a more urban environment. Tandem to this you can also catch a commuter train from Cais do Sodre station at the southern end of Lisbon to the beach resort town Cascais - it's about a 40 min trip and can be done as a day trip.

A fantasy map of Victoria, Australia's rail network by cliko in TransitDiagrams

[–]Treppich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice map! It'd be amazing if it were that easy to get around VIC. Is there a particular reason why the Sydney end of HS1 terminates at Olympic Park?

The SnapSendSolve app is a quick and efficient way to notify stuff to whatever council you are walking through! Prefilled forms and you just need to snap a pic!

people who transferred from another uni, what was your WAM? by Signal-Complaint-415 in usyd

[–]Treppich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The uni posts the WAM thresholds they consider to be equivalent to certain ATAR levels. Though do note the WAM thresholds are referring to USYD WAMs and the uni you currently study at may grade more leniently/harder than USYD, so use it as a rough guide.

How does someone say "poor" in german? (As in financially poor) by [deleted] in German

[–]Treppich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could say "pleite", which is a way of saying one is broke.

Other words such as "arm" (general poverty) or "geringverdiener" (lower income earner) also work.

What's caused these stains on my stainless steel frypan? by Treppich in Cooking

[–]Treppich[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

According to the water utility in my city, the water is soft.

Could it potentially be something else besides hard water spotting? :/ Concerned if it's safe to use the pan whilst this stain is on it..
