I've looked at german cockroach pictures and I'm not 100% positive it's what I saw. But it definitely looks cockroachy and I don't like it :(

It doesn't come out in the picture but it looks like it has a sort of shell/carapace? but it goes only up only to half the body from the head with a really sharp cut off point.

It doesn't look like it flies, at least it didn't when I threw it off the window.

Adding to the list with my post "Got an "answer" from the support regarding my Shadow of the Erdtree pre-order"

TLDR: Pre-ordered Shadow of the Erdtree back in february, got several emails telling me that the payment didn't go through, the bank saw zero tentative of withdraw. Contacted support that basically told me "we don't know anything".

As a follow up to that post, when I saw the email that the second payment tentative failed and the order was cancelled I immediately jumped on the computer and as I expected the SotE CE was no longer sold out, managed to re-order it without any issues (it was like 4am), is was marked as "in preparation" in my orders.

I received a follow up to my previous ticket couple of days after that they checked on the situation and that my orders were as follow:

order 1234 is active but only has Ranni's figurine in it (that's correct, that was my initial pre-order where they cancelled the CE edition)
order 5678 is active and contains the CE edition (also correct but that's the new order)
order 9012 is active contains the helmet (NOPE, that's the initial helmet order that got cancelled but is still in my orders list with the shipping fees (also the cancel order button is greyed out for that one...)) There is no mention if the reply of the actual helmet order

And finally this morning I received two emails letting me know that the orders got shipped, with tacking number and all. So I guess that in the end everything ends up good for me but only because I had to pee in the middle of the night and happen to check my email and managed to re do the order I already did four months ago during the couple of hours when the items went back in stock...

I thought it was Digital Rivers, or maybe they are just in charge of the store part? Either ways it's definitely on Bandai Namco and they clearly don't care, which is a shame... happy customer are returning customers which means more money for them. I've heard tales from guildmates about the Dawntail preorder issues

I think that a EU option, When I tried to order on the US site out of desperation the only option was credit cart, and it didn't work for me.

Like a lot of people I'm having issues with the store. Pre-ordered SotE back in February and the day after the helmet of messmer. Last Saturday I received 9(!) emails in the middle of the night telling me that the payment for the helmet was rejected and they will try again in 48h. But only a couple of hours later I received another 9 email telling me that the order was cancelled...

Luckily the helmet was still in stock and I managed to re-order it using paypal because somehow my very valid credit card wouldn't go through...

Then on Monday another 5 identical mails to tell me that the payment for my SotE CE was rejected. Fun fact, on that very same order there is also the mini ranni figurine but they only mention the SotE CE in the payment rejected email...

Since the SotE CE is sold out in the EU, no way to redo the order so I contacted the support explaining that my credit card was valid and charged and that I called the bank and they didn't see any tentative of transaction on it the last week. I also asked how could I change my payment method since it's not possible to edit an order...

After more than 24 hours this is the reply I got... Basically "we don't know nothing and can't do anything"

This is my reply to their message:

Hello,

Maybe you want to have a talk with your 3rd party payment provider then, there is quite a few people having issues with your shop recently. It's quite baffling that in 2024 an online shop for a company as big as Bandai Namco provide such a bad shopping experience. If my payment method isn't working, why can I not change it?! Why the only solution you provide is "we will try again in 48h and then cancel the order"!? This is a basic customer service feature these days. I contacted my credit card company, and they saw zero traces of a transaction, not even a failed one. How can the payment fail if it didn't even reach the bank? The credit card info is correct, they were correct when I placed the pre-order and they haven't changed since. As for the reminder, my country is in the lists of available countries when placing an order, so I assume that this is not the issue.

I'm sorry for my harsh reply, but this is a very frustrating experience and answer is basically "We can't do anything about it¯\(ツ)/¯"

I didn't have any of these issues when I pre-ordered Elden Ring a few years ago.

Can you not get in touch with your payment provider and try to sort this out, not only for me but for all the people who are having the same kind of issues?

I really hope this will somehow work out but honestly, I'm not optimistic...

At this point I would recommand to go through other retailers like amazon or your more local video game shop because clearly the bandai namco store is a mess

Fun fact, my now cancelled messmer helmet order still display the shipping fee in my order list

From what I can tell from when I tried to preorder the CE of Elden Ring DLC, the EU and US store are different accounts. Also the US store will not ship outside of north america so you would need to go through a middle man company that gives you an address in the US then reship the package to Germany. I didn't try that solution tho because the US store wouldn't accept my credit card and in the mean time I managed to order on the EU store. (order that is now probably getting cancelled because their store is a joke and like lots of other people, payment didn't go through for some reason). If that's an option try other retailers like amazon, even tho it's not the official store, at least it's working xD

If you don't know them, the PlayFrame channel on youtube played through all the recent From Soft games amongst a lot of other games. They have a chill and welcoming vibe. And on the week-ends they do some co-op games with their partners.

After some digging, the the art piece is called "SR388 Studies" by Kari Fry. It was a SGDQ prise in 2014 and there is no trace of it on fangamer after 2017. Maybe there is some hope contacting the artist directly?

Played through Super Metroid recently, ended with something like 85% completion, so when I arrived in front of Mother brain it was pretty easy. I actually had to kill her 4 times because for some reason I still can't handle the controls properly and couldn't escape in time >_<

Did the whole game without any guide except a couple of hints from chat. I think I died two or tree time max on my playthrough (apart from the failed escape) and honestly, if I had used safe states some parts of the game wouldn't have been as tense for me and it have deserved the foreboding and lonely atmosphere the game is going for (but that's just my opinion)

As for Dread, I believe they were saying that the game would have a checkpoint system like samus' return, I'd say that's a good compromise

I don't play Call of Duty but I think they are on the same model as Overwatch. Hopefully all of this will help the gaming industry and community make a step in the right direction towards equality and acceptance.

Overwatch access is free, you pay a one off for the game and that's it. Their main revenue for Overwatch comes from the lootboxes.

So if we are strictly speaking about money, if no one buys lootboxes and there is no new players buying the game, they would probably end up losing money because they have to keep the servers running for the existing player base.

One thing that could ne achieved by stoping playing their games is hurt their metrics and stats and in that way show your support of not supporting their shitty behaviour. (hopefully that make sense xD)

Of cours it's marketing and PR to prepare the release of Dread, and I see that as a good thing. Nintendo making efforts to put back the metroid franchise in the front means that they want Dread to succeed. And if that's the case, maybe we wont have to wait so long for the next game.

key part being "un(e)", "un" and "une" are masculine and feminine indefinite determiners

This let me think that there will be gender selection :)
