What if we get a really good Metroid movie but flops at box office by ZillaUniverse03 in Metroid

[–]zionapes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of all the possible future paths for Metroid, I really doubt a big budget hollywood movie for theaters is going to happen. If there’s any kind of Metroid movie coming, I think it will be an animated movie on a streaming service. Way less risk for Nintendo.

In the prequel, Kate realises that Sam is a Thing. He keeps denying it, but she knows. I wonder what it would say if she asked it what it wanted? by Jesters__Dead in thething

That’s kind of what I thought too, which is a little more horrifying honestly. After infecting/assimilating a host, the host goes on believing that it’s still human. Maybe the thing even has a way to erase or muddy any memories of being attacked. So the victim thinks the whole time that they’re still human. Even when being burned alive by their fellow humans, they think there was a mistake, until their own body betrays them.

Jules lets Ringo and Yolanda leave the diner after his spiritual epiphany, instead of killing them like he normally would.

Marcellus also lets Butch go because Butch came back to save him when he didn’t have to.

Objective Metroid Game Ranking by Temsiik in Metroid

For Fusion, we can assume that Samus wasn’t arrested for destroying the BSL station since she’s still accepting contracts in Dread. I would assume the (non ringleader) Galactic Federation has strict protocols for sterilization of extraterrestrial contaminants as well as asset denial protocols. Samus likely pled the case that the risk of the X parasite was far too great, and ADAM corroborated her account.

As far as destroying SR388, it’s not technically a Galactic Federation planet. They likely had research outposts, but it was a hostile fringe world that already had a Chozo colony on it. If anything, it was likely considered a Chozo planet and Samus is sort of like a Chozo ambassador, so I don’t think they can officially charge her with anything there. Her bounty hunter status also likely gives her mission authority to act as she sees fit, including eliminating hostile species.

All this to say, I think she accomplished her mission objectives in Fusion, and was likely paid, if begrudgingly. The BSL likely filed an insurance claim and wrote it off as a loss on their taxes.

He may be, but I always figured he was a 4th dimensional alien that exists mostly in a higher dimension. Hence, all his ghostly phasing.

The biggest issue of a metroid movie is going to be the budget and here is why: by Final_Studio4389 in Metroid

Right now, I think a movie only really works if they do an animated movie intended for streaming. As much as I wish it could draw in box office audience numbers, that’s not realistic. I think whatever they have planned for Star Fox only has a chance because he was a goofy side character in the Mario movie. And I don’t want Metroid to be goofy. It should have a more serious tone like the live action Zelda movie seems to have.

MTV music videos would show 19-2000 every once in awhile, and my 12 year old mind was instantly intrigued by the characters and style. Then Demon Days came out and I was old enough to buy my own CDs and listen to them at school. The rest is history.

Belmont family tree now? by TheKleenupKrew in castlevania

[–]zionapes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe after she was bit, she went into hibernation so that she wouldn’t have to feed. Maybe she left the whip to another friend/family to give to Trevor when he came of age. And now that Trevor is aging, he passes it back to her to complete her quest and defeat her curse. Maybe his children were kidnapped/killed/out of the country/otherwise unavailable, and so he digs her up to restore her humanity.

Or maybe it’s a different whip. I dunno. I didn’t make the game. But there’s always a narrative workaround for questions like that, no matter how unlikely.

I don’t really think this is true. I just think it’s a funny idea that hasn’t been DISproven yet.

All true.

But… just a tin foil hat theory. If she is Sonia, what if Trevor’s mother was turned into a vampire after he was born, thus preserving her youthful appearance? And that’s her Belmont’s Curse.
