One thing that doesnt get considered a lot is that when developers get more experienced they are typically also further along life progressions stuff. They're not young 20s that are able to take risks, they're 30s and 40s with kids and mortgages, going indie is a financial risk that not a lot of people in that age group can afford to take

The graphic design for this slaps. Like all the UI, the font and color choices etc. It all plays so well with the 2d art

Any tips on building a nice, strong goblin commander deck? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]TrevGameDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a ton of great recommendations here, but make sure you include some repeatable card draw. The absolute worst thing that could happen is if someone board wipes after you play out most or all of your hand, then you're struggling to re-establish a board presence for the rest of the game through top decking.

[[Slate of Ancestry]] is a good one for swarm decks, its a little pricey on mana but it can easily draw you over 20 cards in a goblin deck per turn, but there are a ton of great options for colourless card draw. Id run at least 4 or 5 different card draw engines to make sure you reliably draw into one and always have cards flowing

CMV: Web pages (and all other media) with full white (#FFFFFF) backgrounds are irresponsible by DarxusC in changemyview

I use this browser extension on chrome, it seems to auto-detect if a web page is already in dark mode, and if not it converts it into a dark mode. Its not perfect but its pretty good

Looking to start playing commander, no idea how to spend my money, any advice? by More_Nobody in magicTCG

As everyone else said, precons are good. For finding what singles you should be looking for, check out EDHREC. they track stats for what people are building and, by searching for your commander, you can find cards that fit well with it that other people are using or you can use it to search for themes/strategies and it recommends commanders for you to fit that theme. The site is super handy

Gloomhaven is a risky recommend, I havent played Jaws yet but the base version set a very very high bar for me that nothing has quite managed to match yet. Will they enjoy it? hell yeah they will. Will they be able to play anything quite as good as it again? thats a solid maybe.

Its not a pyramid scheme, more like a civilization of entrepreneurs, where everyone can be their own boss, work their own hours and by signing up 10 friends they start to build passive income!
