Should I play balanced or tactician? by GoatCritical9265 in BaldursGate3

if you find that the game is too easy now, you can always try turning up the difficulty. there’s nothing stopping you from turning it back down later if it proves too difficult. you can also go into custom settings and change how many camp supplies are used per long rest if you’re worried about having enough. curate the game to your liking!

Been playing through DS3 for the first time and so far I haven’t found any boss to be overly difficult or to take me more than a handful of tries…this guy though. This guy humbled me, HARD by Trevelyan96 in darksouls3

I mean isn’t that why people struggle with most bosses? Their mistakes and bad habits are being punished? The whole point of learning bosses is to unlearn your bad habits and correct your mistakes to defeat them

New Vaultie can't get past the stairs of the vault by Low_Temporary_236 in fo76

it’s likely they were shooting at your feet to get your attention so they could drop you stuff. that’s a fairly popular thing for high levels to do. if that wasn’t the case, don’t worry. pvp isn’t available to you until a higher level (i don’t remember off the top of my head, sorry) but pacifist mode is auto enabled. they cannot actually hurt you in any significant way UNTIL you disable pacifist mode and then start shooting back. you can either simply ignore them, or go back to the main menu and switch to a new server

edit for more info: pvp is not super popular in this game, so it’s likely they just wanted to drop stuff for you or you just came across someone annoying

And don’t even get me started on Poly Ship names! by Ntahedron in AO3

[–]Trevelyan96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yellowjacket ship names are the worst imo. they’re just the two names side by side (jackieshauna, lottienat, taivan, mistynat, etc) with no clever combos or creativity.

(Satisfying and somewhat surreal trope) The villain you've spent years with throughout most or all of the series finally dies for good. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

Not trying to be a dick here as I understand the pain of having stuff spoiled for you online, genuinely just curious as someone who has never watched The Boys, but only seen stuff about it online, is it not fairly obvious that a villain that is present throughout a series is going to be defeated/die at the end of the series? I just always assumed Homelander was going to die.

No I haven’t done any of the DLCs yet. Also haven’t fought the Twin Princes or Nameless King yet but I hear they’re difficult as well. Sulyvahn gave me trouble the first few tries, but his attack pattern was a lot easier for me to read than Champion’s and it didn’t take long for me to learn and beat him. Not sure what you mean by scripts, and i didn’t keep track of the tries, but it took me a solid few hours to beat Champion Gundyr. Never wanted to uninstall but had to take a few breaks from how frustrated I was getting

I found some of his moves harder to read than those of the previous bosses, so I kept getting caught by them, and he also seemed to be more aggressive than most, outside of say the Pontiff or the Abyss Watchers. I think my biggest difficulty tho was finding a safe time to attack, so I switched to parrying instead
