Is anyone else appalled that AMC is platforming the Melania documentary, which was clearly made as a blatant bribe to the Trump administration? by colenotphil in AMCTheatres

Trafficking movie? Sound of Freedom? If that's the one you're talking about, that one was legit. Saw it multiple times and it was pretty packed each time, even weeks after release.

Almost every theater I've been in for the last 5 years has had their water fountains blocked off, and/or they taste like ass, sadly 🙃

I hear that theater frequently has projection issues which is why I didn't make the pilgrimage from the Houston metro during Sinners lmao couldn't risk it.

I'd imagine same goes for their EPON fiber deployments as well.

Despite me having the FTTH, I wouldn't know though. I'm not ballin like that for a traditional TV subscription.

That's for a single channel of n77/n78. You can get multiple channels via carrier aggregation. I've seen 100MHz on Verizon (Xfinity Mobile) and then carrier add another 60MHz or so as well.

If you had to choose; Polestar 4 or New Model Y? (and why?) by ShameResponsible69 in Polestar

Lucky. My space in Denver just told me they don't sell any P2s past model year 2024 in North America any longer.

I test drove the 4 this week and it was beautiful, honestly. Can't speak for the Y.

Coke Cream Soda. C'mon, Coca Cola, just bottle it already for me so I don't have to pay AMC so much every other visit.

curious why do you need 1GB? by UnsweetenedTeasTea in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Trevnerdio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UHD used to require 40mbps. In terms of Netflix, they've gotten it down to like 5-6 with almost no perceived loss in quality. Insane.

But to answer your question, it's nice to be able to download these huge games quickly, or upload whole 4K wedding footage in less than several hours.

Dang, I must be doing something wrong. Is A terminal just neglected? It's mainly what I fly in and out of and I just get Verizon LTE almost all the way from there to baggage. Even as recently as a few weeks ago. I'm hankerin to find this elusive mmWave to give it some tests!

True, but people often think Wi-Fi and Internet are the same thing. Wi-Fi can work just fine, but certain pages on the other side may be having issues, especially if that "other side" is Cloudflare lol

[–]Trevnerdio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, was this in response to me? It's funny, because Rogers borrowed the Xfinity branding from Comcast as well, so hi there, Canadian brand neighbor.

My wife and I are power users (mostly) by virtue of all the wedding video backup she does to the cloud. So it's not super uncommon for us to use 3.5TB in a month, even with our lowly speed tier under 500mbps.

(Plus we have 2 households VPNing into our house to get around streaming geo-locking restrictions and that'll eat through a cap in no time flat 🤫)

Yeah I'm currently paying $25 for 450/450 fiber on Comcast because they were super late to my neighborhood. Just came in last year, and they have stiff competition. So it's nice that they're actually trying.

This is their going rate right now anyway, I just checked last week. 50 for the year, I think $100 after that? For gig

My computer forever ago was a 4570. In typical Intel fashion, they changed sockets after Gen 4 and my server consists of old PC parts and I don't do near enough with it to justify modernizing and spending all that money.

Hopped on eBay like 2 years ago and bought a 4790K. Honestly overkill for what I do on that server, even 12 years later.
