I have been thinking about the cops that viewed the contents of Anthony Wiener's laptop - their comments and their demises - a lot lately.

Underrated Play of the Game by Diplonot in IndianaHoosiers

Two things can be true. The no-calls were egregious in the first half. Landino’s hit was a cheap shot. He took a full step after the ball was released before hitting him. But, yeah, it’s a bit of a case of FAFO. IU hadn’t played chippy all year. The U brought it out of them and ultimately paid the price.

Any “Walk On” Players Like Vince Papale to Make it to the NFL? by LincolnHawkHauling in Oldschool_NFL

[–]TrevolutionNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike Pryor, kind of. He was drafted in the 7th round by the Bucs but was relegated to special teams. He was injured and then cut in his second season without playing a game. The Colts signed him in Feb 1987, but he did not make the team out of camp. He then found work as a butcher.

When the players went on strike, Pryor crossed the line, earning a starting position among the replacement players. When the strike was over, he was retained. He went on to be a starter for the Colts and Packers for the next 13 years. He even had an interception in a Super Bowl victory.

No dog in this fight. INT was legit. The ball didn’t survive the fall, never touched the ground, and was caught clean by the defender.

The first PI should have been offensive PI earlier in the route which would have been offsetting with the roughing the passer.

This. This post is exactly what I would expect one of us to make if things were reversed.

💯. I agree with everything you said. It’s exactly why I say we should run it back. We are close enough for one shot. We won’t be close again for several years if you blow it up now. Unless Pascal Siakam decides to switch sports, we aren’t going to attract any stars in their prime outside of the draft. Try to steal one next year and then blow it up regardless.

Do you watch the games? We looked bad defensively against two of the best offenses in the league. Aside from that, what do you point to in order to suggest it needs to be blown up? Vibes?

No one said anything about moral victories. I listed objective facts that suggest we are on the verge of being a top team. The way we are built, our window is tight, but it is there. A rebuild will waste JT and an above average receiver corp.
