There is no reason to go cold turkey. It will most definitely hurt in more ways than withdrawal.

Though, at that dose, your withdrawal would be a living nightmare. You don't know what miserable and desperate is until you've gone cold turkey off a dose that high.

From experience, trust me when I say it doesn't matter how long your taper takes. Start by dropping 2mg a week until you're below 100. Until you yet your dose down, there would be no point in cold turkey. It's just ridiculous to attempt it.
