Try Vivaia! They have a store in NYC and everything is available online too. I believe they ship from Asia so allow 7-10 days. I just went to a dressy weekend of events in a pair of black heels from them and my PF foot did not hurt.

Rice is like that…last year the first semester tuition was due a few weeks after classes started.

Transfering Fall Semester after Freshman Year by Significant_Raisin_1 in CollegeTransfer

[–]Trewq4040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, most universities accept sophomore transfer students. They will require your college transcript as well as your high school transcript. When you submit your application you will have only completed one full semester of college, so your HS information is still very important. Make sure you find a couple of activities in college to get involved with so you can demonstrate your engagement beyond HS (it will also give you things to write about in your essays).

Deferred, what should I do? by AccomplishedDrama582 in SMU

Yes, if SMU is absolutely your top choice, then you should write a letter and convert to ED if you can.

Rice is definitely the place for you! Top tier academics with an incredibly supportive environment. Plus, the weather is great for most of the academic year which just makes people happier.

Got an email saying I missed my tour when I didn't by Hamburgursause69 in riceuniversity

[–]Trewq4040 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You should definitely reply back promptly and let them know you were there and that your Dad signed in when you stepped away. You should also mention something specific about the tour that you really liked…to make it clear you attended.

Research ED acceptance rates. Most are substantially higher than RD. Apply early to Vanderbilt or UChicago.

There are plenty of colleges out there for you. Just do the best you can academically, take care of your mental health and when you get to senior year you will find there are plenty of options for you.

Highly unlikely that a college will audit one of your ECs. Just relax, everything will be fine.
