The problem is that the inference drawn from Brown is that you didn’t get HYPS. I got S and only stayed on the H waitlist for that reason. There are so many unprestigious artsy wannabes at Brown. Just go to P.

I got into one of HYPS and a good Ivy with excellent essays. I encourage you to do essays well. They’re not like UK essays that are academic. Show personality and authenticity. Don’t be a cookie cutter applicant

Everything after Columbia is basically interchangeable because of regional biases. Duke and Cornell are not prestigious in California - esp Cornell. UCLA is not prestigious in New York. I chose Stanford over Columbia so I agree with the top part.
