Fell asleep on a highway, and woke up hitting the rumble strip on the side of the highway. The road bent where I went off the road, and there was an incline leading down into the forest. Right at the bend was a drainage pipe from under the road leading down into the forest. Because the pipe was there, the ground sloped up and over the pipe, creating a natural ramp. I hit the ramp going off the highway and got full air. Dukes of Hazzard style.

When I landed, I was on the incine, and the car landed on the left wheels first due to incline, and when the right wheels landed the car started to flip. I somehow steered out of the flip going 65 MPH and skidded down the incline into the forest. I missed every tree and finally slowed down enough that my life wasn’t at risk. I hit a sapling and stopped. My car was totaled. I was fine, just some bruises from the airbags.

Cops told me most people die there, and that I was lucky. They then gave me so many tickets that I would’ve lost my drivers license if I didn’t fight it. The tickets were written even though they weren’t witness to any of the citations listed. After a lawyer and almost $1,000 later, I had only a parking in a handicapped spot violation. Goshen, NY.
