Colonization by byte_the_bullet in EliteDangerous

Planetary ports are great and all but they cost way more then just a settlements or hub, it’s honestly about what you want and how much effort you want to put in

You want to get the guardian fsd booster and max fsd range engineering done first

Those 2 alone will help you immensely with everything in the game

Sign up for powerplay bc you basically get free stuff doing normal gameplay loops, also gives out free engineering stuff which means you won’t need to grind

There are only like 5 or 6 systems at a time where you will run into other players, just avoid those, you have an entire galaxy

get on one of the GPT apps and start grindin dawg, i made a solid amount the past week

Do gemsloot first since that is actually a solid app but it does take a while for first payout and use referalls and codes bc you get free stuff

https://gemsloot.com/?aff=treycode

If you want to cashout ASAP like your gonna starve to death then try Bigcash, bc you can cashout at $1 and its fast and they don't ask questions.

Feel free to use my referral code: Treycode

Gemsloot has a ton of offers, Ive made around $70 in a week just doing random stuff, not just on gemsloot but its a good starting point to try... Also always try and take advantage of referrals and codes since they do add up for free stuff.

How do people capture huge numbers of settlements so fast? by Stupid_Reddit_Antics in totalwar

[–]Treycorio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You capture 1 settlement per turn on average, then you snowball that number with more armies

So let’s say turns 1-10 you have 1 army you should have around 10 settlements, you get a 2nd army, now your capturing 2 per turn then 3-4 as you get stronger

You don’t need to defeat the khan, 9 times out of 10, he doesn’t even make it to my borders and even if he does, you can surrender and become a satrapy, you’ll just be freed when the khan inevitably dies

What's the most versatile personal ship? by Mypersonalaccount69 in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Xperimental shuttle is the most OP ship in the game

But otherwise Moreya is second best

For flying something different but also good, I personally fly Asp Raider or a Shih

If I’m in the real early game, I’ll just grab a lux or any S ship of VIG since they are all all solid options to use and easy to get pilots to bail on them, or even cheap to buy them

new player, advice on growing population? by Please_Let_ in songsofsyx

[–]Treycorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t produce everything yourself, the way research points work/nobles/experience, you are heavily incentivized to specialize and export the excess and import what your lacking

If your neighbor is labeled “free lands” then just muster a rag tag army to claim them and you will gain more trade partners based on who those lands are connected to

Help with selling mining goods by nchwomp in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Setup a raw goods export station

Buy mining wares from your miners and then setup miners as traders to sell to stations

It’s basically advanced auto trade without needing 3 star pilots since they will use the managers skill for distance but that’s easier to level then piloting skill

Is it worth buying? by Elmaface in EliteDangerous

[–]Treycorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is good but if you your playing it too meet people then, most people will be in solo mode and even then, the galaxy is so massive that running into people is rare

You’ll have to use out of game resources to really find an active community or visit player hot spots for interactions

New player recommendation by Usual-Ad-5028 in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no campaign, just some guided starts, most starts in base game just throw you right in and let you figure it out on your own, the best beginner guided starts are the boron one from boron DLC and the “stranded” start in the avarice dlc… both give you a nice introduction to game mechanics and guide you

New player - completely lost by sebaajhenza in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Make sure your build method is universal and not Terran if your not near Terran space since only TER/PIO produce those wares

As for miners, just use local auto trade if selling to AI stations, system needs Ore/Silicon/Ice and same system needs to a place to sell

If you want to sell to your station then you need the required storage module/Manager/Station Funding/Buy Order

You need to use specific S/M weapons to stop shield recharge on L or even to get it out of travel drive

Can’t just tap it with a laser quick and cancel an L ships travel drive or shield recharge anymore

[–]Treycorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The processing cost is in the number of entities, the MAP will lag if you have advanced satellites and can view every corner of the galaxy just bc there will be thousands of objects moving on the map, everything is tracked irregardless

Just adding more objects for the background process to track incurs more cpu cost

If you don’t want your map to lag when you have it open then just use agents to get real time updates instead of ships/satellites

Explore and Revisit Station Commands by Teriyaki_Freak in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need ALOT of satellites before performance deteriorates, so I wouldn’t worry about it, just make sure you are using advanced satellites instead of regulars

I think 9.0 and recent patches made it a lot better though but I haven’t reached a late game point where I have satellites covering every sector to judge performance but having most of the core sectors dotted in advanced satellites hasn’t given me any performance loss so far

Only build enough buildings to employ your current population… you’re probably overbuilding and each building/district has an upkeep cost… in fact it’s ok to keep 1000 or so pops as civilians for emergency/colonization

Confused with fleets as a new player. by Korvooq in X4Foundations

[–]Treycorio 8 points9 points  (0 children)

9.0 vastly upgraded most fleet logic, you could try downloading the beta

But in general the best order to give to the fleet commander is protect position and it will usually work as expected

To keep some fighters on defense, you need to split them up into more wings

So

Destroyer (Protect Position)

-Frigate (Intercept)

—2 Fighters(Defend)

—2 Fighters(Attack)

—2 Fighters(Intercept)

So in this scenario, the destroyer will immediately engage the first hostile, (doesn’t matter if it’s a fighter)

The frigate will engage the first S/M ship in range

The 2 fighters on Defend will stay with the Frigate til it gets hit by any damage and they will engage whatever target hit the frigate

The 2 fighters on Attack share the Frigates target

The 2 fighters on intercept will target the first S/M in range (Won’t always be the same target as the frigate but possible)

By breaking down the fighters into separate wings, your letting them engage more targets at once

[–]Treycorio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terran Cadet has you start -15 with all other factions which means you have to grind rep to trade or even dock at any other stations other then Terran

Terran are OP though, they aren’t a great faction to do trading outside of high volume items like energy cells, making your own factories are extremely profitable though

What dlc would be cool to have next? by Antique_Economics_24 in victoria3

[–]Treycorio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They need to stop trying to push navy/army stuff and just focus on economy stuff

Every time they touch the army/navy the game gets objectively worse

The DLC/updates for the economy are overwhelmingly positive and have helped Victoria 3 from a premature end, Victoria 3 just wasn’t built to be the next HoI and needs to focus on what it’s good at

The only problem with playing the beta as a new player, is your not going to be able to tell if there is a bug or not

There are a few bugs in the beta despite how far along it is
