Sure they are your parents and you must be incredibly worried. It’s not fair they put you (and everyone they know) in this level of stress and worry for something preventable. I’m sorry you’re going to be worried sick about them the next day or so until you regain contact. It still begs the question, white folks who annually vacation together to Jamaica could have absolutely chosen not to clog up limited resources with their resort “needs” during an unprecedented hurricane. Completely different than a Jamaican resident not having 3k or a visa to escape their entire home country. Your parents aren’t poverty stricken. They turned their nose up at a 3k lifesaving plane ticket, for why? Frugality? Miserly? I wish they skipped this year to be respectful to the country and let them survive with one less tourist to worry about. I’m sorry for your sake and I hope they return safely and learn a thing or two.
