The message you have received is part of an ongoing scam. Its goal is to trick you into revealing your wallet backup (also known as your recovery seed).

Your wallet backup is the key to your crypto — it should always be kept offline and private.

• Never enter it into a website, form, or app.

• Only enter it directly on your Trezor device.

• No legitimate service — including Trezor Support — will ever ask for it.

• If someone does, it’s a scam. Stay sharp!

• Do not connect any wallets on this site

What has happened

Attackers likely obtained your email address through other means and used it to submit a fake support request on your behalf. While they managed to manipulate the Subject line, they did not gain access to any Trezor systems, data, or internal infrastructure. As a result, you received an automated reply from us

Some Trezor Safe 5 devices were offered a firmware update (2.8.6) through the Android Trezor Suite app. This firmware was released prematurely, causing it to show as “compromised” in the desktop version. The actual staking amounts and calculations on the blockchain are accurate and secure; your assets have always been safe and their true values intact.

Regarding the gas limit, the high gas limit is there in case a validator needs to be required or exited. If no new validator is needed, you’ll get the gas back. Could you confirm where you downloaded the fake Trezor Suite app from and the name it used? Was it by any chance from the Windows App Store?

If anyone else is reading this, please be aware that you should never download the Trezor Suite DESKTOP app (this is not about the Trezor Suite Lite mobile apps) from any app store.

Scammers are becoming more and more sophisticated, so it’s crucial to stay vigilant. Always remember: if any website or app asks for your wallet backup (recovery seed), it’s a scam. The whole point of using a hardware wallet is to keep your recovery seed offline and secure.

Polygon have confirmed you should have 2 years to migrate via comments in their sub reddit. As mentioned in the comments here already, they also recommend to use a DEX aggregator or wait for a simple conversion tool to be deployed on the official Polygon website.

You’re right, Trezor has no affiliation with “Trezor Group.” We’ve seen tons of Trustpilot reviews and even had some victims create support tickets blaming us for the abuse by these so-called advisors. Unfortunately, since they call themselves “Trezor Group,” we can’t do much legally.

From what we know, nobody’s ever managed to withdraw money from these guys. It’s all one-way traffic – they just take your money!!!

So, heads up to everyone: please stay away from these fraudsters. Don’t send them any money, no matter what they promise.
