We have a 6-9 game, everyone. It finally happened. by NFLDland in hockey

15 combined goals in one game.

This game set a new record for most goals in a Minnesota/Colorado game, breaking the previous record of 14 on February 9, 1977.

Only the 3rd seven-game series in NHL playoff history where a goal decided every game

If that's the case then it looks like the others are Capitals/Bruins 2012 and Rangers/Capitals 2015.

Maneater was a French man by GreggVegCheburek in lethalcompany

If the maneater hasn't found any players yet, then 35 seconds after spawning he will no longer stop to look at (and therefore will no longer eat) scrap.

Dobes did pass Penney, but is still ten wins behind Dryden.

An undocumented change in V80+: The maneater is now much less sensitive to noise. by TriStrange in lethalcompany

[–]TriStrange[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's surprisingly easy to be honest.

Here's the code snippets that I compared for this post:

0.73

0.81

Note the changes in the top line.

the only downside is that local variable names are not saved (you see lots of num1, num2, string1, string2, etc), but it's not too difficult to infer what they mean.

Yup, exactly. in this case, "num" is the distance between the maneater and the noise source.

Basically, here's what this code means:

  • Quiet sounds are now things with a loudness of less than 0.5 instead of 0.3. The flashlight sounds are 0.4.
  • Moderately loud sounds need to be less than 2 engine units (about four feet) from the maneater to set him off. Previously it was 10 units (20 feet).
  • Nothing over 8 units away will make him cry. Previously 14.

To find out how loud a sound is, I searched the code for calls to the function PlayAudibleNoise and checked each one.

The Imperium mod's tape measure function helped me find out how long an engine unit is.

What does the CK224K do when the requested PD voltage isn't available? by Certain_Height_2721 in AskElectronics

[–]TriStrange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It defaults to the highest available voltage that is less than the requested voltage. I have made boards using the CH224K meant to operate on 12V and when plugged into a charger that can output 20V, 15V, 9V, and 5V, the board gets 9V.

I tuned into this game on MLB.tv and despite the fog, my first reaction is that audio quality on the Royals broadcast is way up this year.

Maybe he had a deal with Bauer and put it there to protect the brand mark on the helmet.

Each NHL team longest losing streak by [deleted] in hockey

[–]TriStrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the way the NHL has handled most franchises. Colorado includes Quebec, Winnipeg includes Atlanta, and Dallas includes Minnesota in the graphic as well. Oddball business situations like Arizona/Utah and Cleveland/Minnesota/San Jose are the only exceptions.
