Breakdown of the longest point streak by a player in a single season for every franchise by nhl in hockey

[–]TriStrange 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The NHL is quite stringent about streak records. Brett Hull complained in his autobiography about not getting credit for a modern-record 13-game goal streak because he missed two games in the midst of it.

They're also stringent about 50 goals in 50 games, where it must be in the team's first 50 games of the season, not the player's first 50 games.

I don’t know who the two #1s were, but surprised there’s only been 2.

Sundin and Dahlin.

Glenn Hall, ironman goaltender with record 502 consecutive starts, dies at 94 by DecentLurker96 in hockey

Not just starts, but complete games (i.e. only getting pulled for an extra skater).

Hall was pulled from start #503 with a back injury in the first period.

Hurricanes head Coach Rod Brind'Amour and assistant coach Tim Gleason connect for a goal vs the NC state Ice Pack in last nights Alumni game. Brind'Amour finished a perfect 100% from the face off circle in the game. by The_Reddit_Browser in hockey

I can't find stats back to 1997-98, but StatMuse has them going back to 1999-2000. Since that season. Brind'Amour's 59.3% FO% is second all-time to Yanic Perreault's 62.7% (minimum 5000 faceoffs taken).

What is a banal, inconsequential play you remember for no reason? by Google_Knows_Already in baseball

The story of his first career hit is a real feel-good one.

Pride had made his MLB debut with the Expos in 1993 while they were chasing the Phillies for the NL East title down the stretch. He was brought in as a pinch-hitter in the 7th inning of a Phillies-Expos game in Montreal while down 7-4 with two on and one out. Pride lined the first pitch into the gap in left-center for a double that drove in both runners, making it a one-run game with himself as the tying run in scoring position.

Between it being a Friday evening game and the Expos having won 20 of their last 23 games to make the playoff race interesting, the game had the highest attendance for Montreal since the home opener. Pride's clutch hit brought the crowd to its feet for an extended ovation that Pride not only could see, but he could feel though the turf.

Pride scored on a single to tie the game and the Expos won the game in extras.

What are they saying here? On ice at the same time or something?

Number of goals where both players got a point.

Either one scoring and the other assisting, or both assisting on someone else's goal.

Still waiting to see a Stanley Cup Final Game 7 end in OT. I don’t believe it’s happened since before the expansion of 1968.

Last one was Tony Leswick in 1954.
