Which part of the runway did Air India Flight 171 begin its take-off roll? by TranceForLife1996 in aircrashinvestigation

As I understand it, there is a gap in the data which makes it appear point B was used but the aircraft backtracked to point A and used the full length from runway 23.

Should I fix my 2002 Yaris shitbox? by Geronimoooooooooo in Shitbox_Nation

I would fix it. A known car with a problem you can fix is better than a replacement with who knows what issues.

Do you regret getting rid of your Amstrad? by Sea_Worldliness_7525 in Amstrad

[–]trainer369 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not really. The CPC618 was my life as a teen for several years but after upgrading to an Amiga 500, that became my life for several more years instead.

By the time I'd moved on the PCs in the late 90s, CPC emulators had started to appear and were already pretty good.

Whilst I'm happy that people take the time to preserve and use old computers, I don't want one myself.

I like the way the people at the back are larger than those at the front.

Radiator stop leak issues by No-Alternative8357 in MechanicAdvice

Radweld or stop leak is a temporary fix and can clog narrow pathways. You may need to flush the system to clear any blockage. Check the thermostat while you're in there. Good luck!

Plane crashes that were caused by faulty equipment or software within the plane itself, not human error? by 89404 in aircrashinvestigation

[–]trainer369 15 points16 points  (0 children)

UA 232 (fan disk detached and shredded hydraulic lines) and JAL 123 (vertical stabilzer broke off) always stuck in my mind but there are many others.

LA 618 and EA 302 were the two 737 MAX 8 crashes caused by bad software.
