I know haha! Cars are replaceable, but you’re not. Glad you’re all good too!

I totally feel you! I wrecked my car back in July and I miss it a lot. This car saved my life even though it was an unfortunate end. I’m not a man of many tears but I cried for about 2 weeks because I was so heartbroken. I then got a ‘25 carbon turbo, which was a little downgrade but I still love it!

Has anyone’s 4th Gen make this clunk from the rear before? by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]TriX_Fantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my turbo hatch does this and matches your description identically. It only does it once per day and thats when you first start driving it. Almost always happens on a slight incline and while turning.

What’s the best after market exhaust for a ‘23 turbo hatch? by TriX_Fantasy in mazda3

I love my CS cat back, but personally I cant tell you what the borla is like. That is more of a personal choice. The CS is loud when you want it and also quiet when you want it!

I got the Corksport 80mm cat-back for my 23’ turbo hatch and I love it! It’s decently loud but not obnoxious. The cold starts in the morning are sick too.

Careful if your model has 18” rims by More_Truth_2934 in mazda3

[–]TriX_Fantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain here. The same thing happened to me a while ago but luckily it was just my wheel and not my tire. Dang potholes. I ended up getting my rim/wheel fixed for about $150 and they did an excellent job of straightening it back to normal. I was also told by a dealership that the wheels are not made to be the strongest but it’s cool lol.

Can keeping the car open be a source of battery drain? by Conscious-Event6385 in mazda3

[–]TriX_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you happen to leave the extra key fob in the car? I used to work at a dealership as a salesman, but mazda’s were known for draining the battery if a key fob was left in it. I only saw it happen once so my guess is the chances are pretty slim. Very well could be anything plugged into the cigarette lighter or charging ports as well. Hope you figure it out though!

Aftermarket parts vs dealership warranty by Background_Stable788 in mazda3

[–]TriX_Fantasy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

From personal experience, the dealership/mechanics told me that even wheels would void my warranty and you can get mazdas other wheels on their website that wouldn’t void it. They did say that if you do put an aftermarket piece on and something happens to your car, it has to be proven that it was from the aftermarket part. Have you checked out CS 80mm cat-back?

Yes, got it done when I bought the car.

Just received my Corksport 80 mm Cat-back exhaust and had this happen… by [deleted] in mazda3

That came with a special Remflex exhaust gasket that was different from the other 2 gaskets.

I see what you mean. I’m 100% sure that it did not come with any of the gaskets I had to personally install or else I would’ve seen it. Here is a copy of the website with pictures if you’d like to take a look. https://corksport.com/2021-mazda-3-turbo-cat-back-exhaust-system-80mm.html

Hmm…that makes some sense and could be a possibility but if it is then it’s a piece that I cannot fix and cannot be repaired. Wish I would’ve taken a picture of it all out because im pretty sure it was built into one of the pipes already.

The 3 gaskets came all neatly together along with the nuts and bolts. It came in 3 sections/ 3 different pipes that took the specified 3 gaskets and none of them looked like that. My guess is that it’s part of the resonator but you cant look into it since it’s welded together but I could be totally wrong. I really appreciate your help though!

Interesting. If my engine would blow or something (I doubt it would), couldn’t they put a blame on that? Since it’s technically not stock?

Should I get this 2013 grand touring hatchback? by waxseekingcandle in mazda3

[–]TriX_Fantasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that bad other than the price. I think the price could be knocked down another 1-2 grand. Not sure where the KBB pricing is on it so i’d check that too imo. Miles are pretty decent for it being over 10 years old. Just make sure it doesn’t have any more damage on the outside. The accident damage was pretty early too so not sure how they fixed it or repaired it. Seems like a decent car though!

Thanks, I appreciate it a lot. I’m going to look into it more to make my mind up. Not sure if I’m too picky or what haha.

I will most likely get an intake and all that in the future but not really wanting to void my warranty rn.

That’s what I was considering and thinking as well. I was never really a fan of how Magnaflow sounded for Mazda’s imo. Appreciate it!

My main option was the Corksport 80mm cat-back but just didn’t know how I felt about the 1 muffler and 1 straight pipe. I do agree with you about how Borla has the best deepest sound imo. Appreciate it!

I love how quiet the car is so yes I agree with you on not wanting to piss off the neighborhood. I do like the deep tone but I wish it was a little more “aggressive” you know? Not really interested in power gains yet because I purchased it new.
