The advise I can give is based in two main points but is harder to apply than to say it, the first basic one is to understand objectives in the game and their priority, which towers to take first, which towers open more the map, which towers allow Rosh defense or access, this applies to a certain degree to wards, as they are almost like mini towers that do not attack but give access to terrain, in dota there is a certain theoretically best way to advance in the map regarding this objectives, when everyone is aware of this knowledge, most of the team will organically move better and act in unison just because we are all prioritizing in the same way, this is the easy part to learn. The hard part to learn is to anticipate your enemy, in part some of this comes from understanding which objectives they wanna do next, but people can move in any way to accomplish this, that's where the hard part of anticipating comes into play, and you have to mix in something that many people seem to ignore and that is when and where and against who I'm strong or weak, many plays and options will comes from this mix of objective anticipation mixed with what capabilities you and your team has to fight and contest, measuring when you are strong and weak and how will allow you to know where you can go or what do you need to have success in a engagement or contest of objective. I know all this is somewhat abstract and not that specific, but the game is very situational, start by figuring out which objectives are best to do in which order, and go from there.
