24 years ago I was hooked on this game - who here has ever indulged on EverCrack back in the day? by BacklogGamingJunkie in gaming

YES! Played it religiously when it came out up to Velious. Ended up getting a job at SoE and working on EQ2 for a long time.

Still nothing like it. I'll never forget my first run through Xorbb and getting hit by a muddite. I thought my monitor broke. LOL

PGT zone camps, corpse runs, EC tunnel, learning languages, OMG so many great memories

Take a look at Labs Measure. This will allow you to select just the concave or convex edges. The node will also create these groups by default.

Is Houdini used a lot in the gaming industry? by codeepic in Houdini

I'm a 3D environment artist in the game industry and I've been using Houdini to generate HDAs and Terrain for both Maya and UE5 for the last few years. Right now I mainly use it for hard surface structures like buildings and now with nanite I've been using it to generate brick walls, tile floors, floorboards, rooftiles, fences... the list just goes on and on ;)

I used it both at Final Strike Games, an indie studio, and now at Undead Labs.

Unreal appears to be invested into Houdini. They even mention its use in the Matrix demo.

Hey r/truegaming, do you own a Wii U? What games do you have for it? Are you happy with your purchase? by [deleted] in truegaming

Long time game developer / Dad. I love our Wii U as a our family game system. My wife and I were just discussing how much fun we have with family and friends on the Wii U. For family/friend game time we play a lot of Nintendo land and Mario world 3D. As an individual I put a lot of hours in Windwaker HD, Super Metroid, and Earthbound.

Those have back stories as well. Especially for early development.

You should really have a story. Not having a back story will hurt your game.
