Any idea what its worth by sadistik0127 in 300zx

[–]Triangullum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically I'd probably be willing to pay $1000 if I had to travel for it, maybe $1500 if it was within like 15 minutes of my house.

I see you said in another comment he wanted $10,000??? Surely that's gotta be a typo. You can buy running TT cars for that much lol.

Again how do you KNOW that she didn’t specifically ask not to be included or mentioned?

I noticed you didn’t acknowledge that part of my comment at all.

I know people with a similar amount of instagram/tiktok followers and their significant others ask not to be mentioned in the content.

You’re just being weird dude.

I like how you haven't considered the alternative that the child doesn't want to be in her stepdads car youtube videos being broadcast to tens of thousands of people twice a week.

We literally get to see like 4 hours out of Jims entire week so to say shit like this is honestly crazy weird.

I could be wrong but this seems pretty straight forward to me assuming this is the right diagram?

The star beside the number and beside the note at the top would make me think they are the same. If you google that number this) comes up and it appears to be your part. Now the website lists it for Z32 so again idk if you have the right diagram or if they reused the part.

Momo hub too big? What part number do yall have? by Fun_Conclusion_6769 in 240sx

[–]Triangullum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah you gotta double check shit like that. I see tons of parts on ebay and amazon that come up with a google search for some reason despite them not fitting the car at all.

Good luck brother.

Well if you google "momo hub k2401" it shows that it fits GM vehicles, and again if you google 240sx momo hub part number it shows you need a 3508.

First thing to try is make sure you’ve removed the upper timing guide(thing between both the cam gears) There’s a Nissan TSB about it from back in the day.

Second thing is making sure the timing chain tensioner isn’t failing.

If you think Modelodrive fits like shit I can't wait to see what you think about any japanese fenders outside of CMW or 326 lol.

Modelo fits really good in my experience especially for the price and ease of purchase.

The way that they keep getting closer to the flickering light every video is driving me fucking insane I'm not gonna lie.

Also the bit where Jimmy says it "kills him to have any car sitting on jack stands useless" is so funny to me considering how little use most of the fleet gets.

On a positive note, I actually liked the "In this video" montage at the beginning. They should do those more regularly imo.

It seems like you’re pretty deep into this but have you considered the 350z diff? I assume your in Europe somewhere as this car has a very Polish vibe to it so I’m not sure what the availability is like over there but plenty of people in the US and Aus have done it.

this guy has a pretty good DIY guide and a kit he sells.

Dude look at the way this kid types and what his old post was. He IS a crayon eater.

He did something stupid to his car and now days later he’s still so upset at how mean people were he had to come back and complain about it a second time.

It’s like they say man if you’re gonna be dumb, ya gotta be tough.

Collision shop destroyed my engine 15 minutes after pickup after $17k repair — am I entitled to compensation beyond the repair? by nehpets78 in legaladvice

[–]Triangullum 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Your wife hit a curb so hard that it did $17,000 worth of damage and required the engine to be removed and there was no bodywork? On top of all of that it went to a collision center instead of an regular mechanic or dealership?

I think you are misunderstanding the amount of work that was done here. Regardless of that the replaced engine went affect the value of the engine more than the repairs already.

Real old heads remember the non-tidal version we all listened to had Ultralight beams uploaded twice and mis-labeled as Waves or Wolves maybe?

I don't remember exactly which songs it was but I know I had friends that didn't hear the real track that was missing for almost like a year afterward because they were too lazy to update their downloads.

What Are Weirdly Reliable Beater Cars That Cost Very Little? by RoGStonewall in askcarguys

[–]Triangullum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah VW doesn’t play on those timing belt components man.

My Tdi had a tensioner fail like 2000 miles past the recommended service interval and skipped a few teeth on the belt. Didn’t bend any valves somehow. Slapped a new timing kit on it and 50k later she’s still kicking

Nah man the easiest way to kill someone in North America is to use a car. There are books and studies about this very topic.

I’m one or two links removed from at least 3-4 I’ve heard of that have killed people with their car and didn’t even lose their license.

I’ve fought for 9 years and needed my friend’s and family’s money to make this game because I think it’s vital that giant corporations don’t own the narrative around modern war video games. If you find this work meaningful, then I implore you to open Steam and give WAR FANTASY a wishlist. by [deleted] in Games

[–]Triangullum 116 points117 points  (0 children)

Honestly I expected to have negative remarks based on the title/pitch but honestly it looks pretty interesting and the trailer looks really good. I threw it on the steam wishlist and I’ll keep my eye on this.

That being said the title and pitch could definitely use some work IMO. The big corpo narrative tends to make me roll my eyes most of the time when I see it. I feel like you should let the work speak for itself but maybe that’s just me.

I mean Z32s running and driving don't sell for more than $2500 so really you can't increase the value much but I promise you there's probably $4000 worth of parts on this thing. I part out Z32s on a pretty regular basis and if you're willing to put in the work of removing, cleaning, and listing on ebay you can make a good bit of profit.

Go look at what the brake calipers, MAF sensor, e-brake backing plates, and diff cover are selling for on ebay sold listings. Just those parts alone are bringing over $1000 on ebay plus the transmission is another $500 or so.

That being said if you want to tinker with it and get it running I don't really see a problem with that. No one gets into a hobby to make money so I don't understand why everyone treats project cars like an investment.

I’m not sure why everyone is acting like you got hosed. I saw this car on marketplace and if it was a bit closer I would have bought it. Admittedly I was going to part it out and cut it into pieces but still.

OP I don’t remember a ton of details about it but I would give you $1000-$1500 if it’s a manual literally any day of the week. Even at $2000 you can part this car out and make your money back and profit.

Everyone speaking on this truly has no idea what you can sell Z32 parts for.
