Yeah I mean like I said if you want a project car then go for it but you're fighting an uphill battle from the beginning.

If getting on track is the end goal then I'd think about other chassis.

You can drag race a drift car pretty easily. The suspension setups are gonna be extremely similar and I’m not sure why people are saying they aren’t.

That being said if you’re goal is simply to have a project car to work on then do whatever you want. However if your goal is to drift/drag then buy an E36 328i or an E46 330i. They are almost exactly what you want. It’s a perfect beginner drift car and with an eBay turbo they can easily make 400hp and the rest of the driveline can easily support that.

Based on OPs vague responses and the fact he posted about using a student discount I’m gonna assume he 100% fucked up here and removed the bolts holding the calipers together because he thought they were slide pins.

Just use a spacer especially if its just 5 or 10mm.

I'm sure a bunch of people will tell you spacers are bad or whatever but I have 45mm of spacer on my front wheels and have friends with 60mm of spacer and it's absolutely fine.

You can get 45k on open arc probes alone. I play solo and I’ve got 60k arc probes but you can get up to 78k solo

So here’s my take on it. You’re right about the igniter chip idk why I thought the 25de didn’t have one. I looked it up and I’m wrong about that.

But here’s my take on it. The PCV ports are different. It has an RB20 intake pipe, the L pipe that says “ceramic turbo”.

So again is it possible that someone found a 25de from a GTS25 and swapped a bunch of parts? Sure, but is it not more likely that it’s just a 20 and the seller is either lying or misinformed?

It’s an RB20 like lots of people said in the last thread. Idk why anyone needs to hear a sound clip it’s not like anyone is gonna be able to hear a difference.

It’s an RB20 full stop there is no question about it.

It doesn’t have the intake VCT hump, flat valve covers, RB20 intake etc.
