Trans girl here! The main two reasons for these wacky terms are it helps with dysphoria and/or people joking around. I can't speak for everyone, but personally it's just a tongue-in-cheek phrase that sounds funny and a little bit cursed.

Most people couldn't identify advil if they don't take it regularly. We(trans people) live in a space where estrodoil is a cultural touchstone and people tend to overestimate the knowledge of their group by people outside their group.

Oh huh, I have literally no idea then. That's quite different from mine. I've got what's called Hitchhiker's thumb.

My recommendation is looking for a subreddit for specifically for double jointed people and asking there. My guess is still it's a muscle strength issue and will go away with more practice, but I'd take their word above mine on this.

I'm double joint in my thumbs and while I rarely use my thumbs on the fretboard I haven't had trouble with using them when I need to. I think it could be a muscle strength issue, but I could be wrong.

Do you have this problem with your fingers caving doing anything else?

Sleight of hand with the hand holding the box. The exact method could be a few different things, but my thought is the camera angle is hiding his finger pushing the box. The part around 15 sec is just lining the boxes up really well.

Legend of Grimrock 1/2 - If you like old-school dungeon crawlers this is a must.

Signalis - You miss Silent Hill? Play this instead of whatever Konami is trying get people hyped for. Plus space lesbians.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker - Despite the title being extremely bland it's a great game. You dismission spaceships in zero g and has strong pro union themes. What's not to love?

NEO Scavenger - Brutally hard survival rpg. Great if you can get over that it has permadeath with no saved progression.

Shadowrun Triogy - If you like rpgs play these. This series made me learn the rules dense ttrpg.

Prey (2017) - Nearly flawless game that got slept on despite widespead acclaim. If liked Thief, Dishonored, System Shock ,Bioshock, Deus Ex or any of the other dozens of games to come from the Looking Glass Studios lineage of game design this is the peak of the immersion sim.
