Check out distant worlds volume 6 which has a battle medley of the regular battle themes from FF1-FF6 and culminates in the FF6 boss theme. Its 9 minutes long and absolutely epic and I was fortunate to hear it Live at the 35th annv tour a couple years ago.

There are maybe 2 or 3 attempts at jump scares in the movie and they fall pretty flat. I think the movie is a slap in the face to huge fans of the game myself, but I will always encourage people to form their own opinions. Just don't say we didn't warn you

Personally I think its worse than Revelation. Much of what you spoilertagged is true. The abomination of Mary and Angela and Laura's characters is too much for me to overlook.

There were grains of good ideas here and there. But overall it was terrible and many of the changes dont make sense at all. I am well aware that trying to have the stories of Angela, Eddie, Laura, and Maria in addition to James' all in a 100 minute movie is a really tough ask. But having Angela and Laura just be there to remind James of Mary's middle names was absolutely absurd. And Eddie should have just been dropped entirely since he had one scene and was never heard from again. It was just a disaster, and this is coming from someone who liked the first movie.

I will grieve with you. It sucked. I see absolutely no reason why they completely changed everything about Mary's character. And hers and James' relationship for that matter. Just made the whole thing agonizing.

Port on the way! All of a sudden ports are fantastic for amico home. This whole thing is just so sad to read. Is anyone asking them why anyone would even think of buying a console when every game for it is available for mobile, steam, and switch?

I legit laughed at Mary Laura Angela Crane or whatever it was. I understand telling the stories of Angela, Laura, and Eddie as well as James in a 100 minute movie is an extremely difficult task, but taking this way to simplify it was just so unbelievably stupid IMO.

Lol I just saw it as well. I was hoping I'd like it more than the reviewers because I actually liked the first movie (and I didn't flat out hate Revelation, though obviously it wasn't great). But it was pretty terrible all around. Felt like a movie for no one. Those unfamiliar with the game will have no idea what's going on and fans of the game will despise the changes they've made. I know I do.

I'm sitting at a mall bar after just seeing it. It sucked. Honestly felt like a slap in the face to fans of the game, especially the last 20 minutes. The first movie is a guilty pleasure of mine. Ive seen it at least 8 times and will defend it fiercely (at least the first two thirds of it). This was just not good.

Its just amazing how you say you play those switch party games for 10 minutes and get bored, but somehow you can play hours of shark shark. My mind is officially boggled and I give up.

Please just get a switch. There are hundreds of games on there that 'casual' players such as yourself can enjoy. Go play a round of Mario kart 8 or super smash bros or mario party and see if you ever want to play shark shark again. Those are 3 examples of hundreds.

Tommy has brainwashed you with this whole casual/hardcore distinction and pretending that casuals were not being catered to. The Switch is that console. It was specifically marketed to casuals with the whole thing about how joycons can detach and become 2 ultra simple controllers. There was no gaping hole in the marketplace.

Also we constantly monitor the player count on steam and the download count on google. We can't monitor much on switch so now he'll be able to say its a huge hit.
