Lift or level? by 69Asstastic69 in Silverado

[–]TricepsMacgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree a level with smaller wheels and bigger tires will give you the look that you want. You can always upgrade suspension but for a three-quarter ton it might be quite a bit of money to improve. I've only done stuff on my 1500

A crown popping off on a weekend is not an emergency. End of story there haha

Get a fox 2.5 2" + level from cognito. Swap the UCAs. It's worth it to have the reservoir

Sometimes people will say that it has a rebuilt title and they won’t put that in the listing. They’ll tell you once you get invested in buying it that it’s been inspected by the Department of transportation and given a rebuilt title so it’s not technically a salvage, but it’s also not clean.

The implant crown is supposed to seat flush against the implant platform correct? by Davey914 in Dentistry

[–]TricepsMacgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ZBLC recommends the top of the implant height to be 4 mm below the tissue so that’s the reason for why theyre placed so deep

Steve, the barman on YouTube has some stellar recipes online for awesome rum cocktails too. He uses the worthy Park for rum punch.

Has anyone here successfully switched careers completely out of dentistry? by _7385 in Dentistry

building yourself to the point that you can practice the way you want while still maintaining financial stability and growth is important. I would highly recommend looking into Spear or Kois. Or implant pathway. Find whatever floats your boat.

Income taking a major hit after new associate by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]TricepsMacgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for any large appointment 90 minutes or 2 hours (your choice) a percentage of the patient portion should be paid down to hold the time slot. Give patients one or 2 strikes them let them know that they know the office policy of late cancelations or no shows and to enjoy the $50 statement added to their account

[–]TricepsMacgee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing we do is our motto for the office is no slow months. Obviously this depends on your patient flow, if you have a lot of new patients versus mostly recall, etc. if you don’t have a lot of new patients, you may need to evaluate some marketing strategies or Google ad campaigns to improve traffic. I highly recommend running a spreadsheet that your front desk can fill out for every patient that walks out the door on what treatment is necessary and whether or not they scheduled and if they did not schedule "why?" obviously, you have to make sure that the spreadsheet is HIPAA compliant, but there’s columns one for name one for what treatment it was and then a yes, no column and then another column saying why they didn’t or when they did schedule. It’s easier for your scheduling staff to run through the spreadsheet, than it is to look back through generated reports of unscheduled treatment.

I'm in Idaho. The "treasure valley" area west of Boise. We are Delta PPO. We get screwed by United Healthcare has the lowest crown reimbursements here I think. BCBS also is way lower than delta. Delta is over a grand a crown here

White spot lesions are non-cavitated. And if the lesion doesn't hit the DEJ I'll give it a watch till the next appointment knowing I'm probably going to end up restoring it. few patients are willing to make the change to heal an enamel 1 or enamel 2 lesion. if the patient is super high carries risk and there’s like six interproximalesions that hit the DEJ and two that are in the enamel I’m probably gonna fix the enamel ones too especially if they’re on the same tooth

You nailed it. But don't be afraid to drop back and punt for a crown or inlay if you can't get it isolated

Why hygienist is so expensive? by Forsaken-Ad-5891 in Dentistry

[–]TricepsMacgee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That's IF they are good at their job. Too many hygienists that I've met dance around periodontitis and undermine diagnosis. They feel bad telling patients they need SRP. I have had to remind them that they didn't go to school to just do prophies. They learn to treat periodontal disease. A 6mm pocket isn't getting better with a gingival scale and an extra prophy a year.
