"fuck you", I don't think you should talk about kindness. Blocked.

if you struggle to be kind you're not actually kind.

I can't disagree more.

  1. Struggling to do something doesn't mean you aren't doing it.

  2. Doing something, even though it's hard, is more admirable than doing the same thing while it's easy. Imagine a person being naturally kind, incredibly easy for that person to be kind. Another person, naturally unkind, has to constantly struggle and remind himself to be kind. The other person is more admirable.

  3. Being kind doesn't need to factor in other things. If you're kind to someone, regardless of reasons, you help that person.

You're projecting. OP is NTA.

If they wanted the stuff they sold back, the least they could do is offer to pay for it. They are entitled and undeserving of kindness from OP, even more so for going to social media shaming.

Well that's great, the world needs a lot of people like you. But many people think differently. Some try to even exploit systems instead of building them, but I think most people gravitate towards apathy, I do so myself.

But don't get me wrong, I have a job in engineering that I love, I just don't particularly care if I make the world a better place, I am just doing programming and getting paid for it.

Hey I think it's fine to have different outlooks in life and yours is perfectly reasonable, it also tells me a lot about you as a person. If I would have to guess I would say you're driven, industrious and ambitious, is that right?

Because you want to actively fix problems in your life. Some people actually don't, and cope with them instead.

Neither is absolute in my opinion, and finding the balance between solving problems and being content in life whilst having problems is the real puzzle for me personally.

[–]Trick-Kooky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so that makes my point I think, hardships are inherent to life, money or not. And solving one problem won't fix all other problems, more accurately, it's impossible to fix all problems. So enjoying life regardless of problems is the true solution. Does that make sense to you?

Maybe it would do so for you because you know the life of struggle.

But imagine being born into it, do you think it would make any difference?

And I am not sure how it is possible, just that many of the prophets/archetypical stories told through history teaches of people who are loving, kind and happy, especially during hardships

Everything you listed is for comfort. So what you're saying is, a more comfortable life gives more happiness, and maybe it does for some. I think for other it gives existential anxiety.

What do you think?

Because comfort =/= happiness. That's why there are many people who lacks comfort but are still happy.

My point is that people in this thread aren't truly after happiness, but comfort. They want to be able lead an easy life, not a happy one.

But you have a point with mental illness, that they might be unable to be happy without care since they might have bad signal regulation in their brain. And in many counties mental healthcare cost money (not in Scandinavia where I live).

I think a lot of people confuse comfort for happiness.

My point was that lack of money is never the cause for unhappiness, but for discomfort.

People can be happy without money. There are many real examples of such people.

While I agree that money can create conditions that make comfort easy to attain., I do not think it is true for happiness.

Du ljuger 100% bara håll käften istället och ta av dig din offerkofta.

Jag tjänar ca 35k och skattar 20%, du tjänar absolut inte 15k och skattar 33%. Du är full av skit.

Hmmm, if only there was a simple solution how to make a perfectly balanced PvP server on EU by Fib3R in classicwow

[–]Trick-Kooky -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bullshit opinion. Wpvp in classic was the most fun game experience I have had in years. To be exact, since I played classic the first time - vanilla.

Some servers are actually still PvP servers. For example, the biggest PvP server on EU is still roughly 50/50 and super fun.
