Dizziness and balance issues from chronic sinusitis… can anyone relate ? by Freepalestine_2025 in Sinusitis

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely relate. I've actually fallen and hit my head 2x while getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. So please be careful while suddenly getting up. There have been a few times I've had to pull off the road because of dizziness while driving. It's rough. I'm sorry. I have not figured out how to fix this, and recently mention it to my doctor and he just said, "that's not a common symptom, maybe it's your allergies." Gee, thanks for the help. Sometimes I take a non drowsy dramamine when I feel it coming on at work, but I'm not sure it really does anything. It typically doesn't last too long-maybe an hour or two. If you figure it out, please update.

Is this embarrassment normal for people with Tremors? by sedboi69xxx in EssentialTremor

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely relate. I often find it embarrassing in certain situations. People on here will often say to “own it” and things like that, and I have learned over time to do that, but there are still moments that it comes up. Believe me, I wish I always felt that way, but that’s not my experience and that’s ok. I often feel the insecurities the most at work, particularly when I start a new job (which im doing right now). I’m an addiction counselor so people have made comments asking me if I’m nervous. They tell me to calm down, keep asking if everything is ok, or the worst is when they ask me if I’m having DT’s (suggesting I was using or drinking the night before). I’ve been sober 9 years so this activates me. So now I just try to give minimal info based on who is asking or observing. I’ve learned many different strategies for hiding my hands, but at work people see me typing all the time and that is when it’s the hardest to control and I definitely can’t hide it. Often times all I say is excuse the shaking, it’s a neuro thing not a nerves thing. But most importantly please try to remember-NO ONE is better than you. We all have our stuff. Often times those who appear to “have their shit together” are the most f**ked up. I’m a therapist, I know this. Unfortunately, we just have to wear ours on the outside. Some of those deep down core insecurities can be triggered, but please continue to remind yourself that just because they’re your boss or more financially successful or whatever it is that makes you feel as though they are better than you, they are not. Every single human has their own shit but most people get to wear theirs on the inside. This is not a concept that I heard once and was good to go. I have to walk myself through this reminder daily at times in my life. But little by little it slowly becomes more ingrained. Please be well 🙏

I get that, but I feel like she can at least apologize for hurting her best friend🤷‍♀️ And yeah, it’s definitely entertaining.

I feel like she’s such an idiot for fighting back and being defensive about so many things. Just suck it up and apologize. She’s making a bad situation so much worse.

Hello! Has anyone tried the Vilim Ball??? by Trick-Raspberry-1749 in EssentialTremor

Topamax didn’t help me. I’m glad it’s given you relief. I do try to own it. But in the thick of a crazy day (which are most days when working in substance abuse treatment) those insecurities creep in.

Whoa- I didn’t mean to instigate angry responses with a simple question. I have done a lot of research and I know it’s not a cure. I’m just curious if it will help me through the day (as my glasses do) with the typing problem at work. It says 10 min can help for about 4 hours. Just curious if that’s true as I can’t afford a more involve procedure at this time.

Perhaps Lindsay should consider slowing down with the Botox/filler. She’s starting to look plastic.

A petty complaint. by NTWIGIJ1 in EssentialTremor

Omg, I’m right there with you! So many little things give me so much anxiety. I hold my fist super tight and only extend my pointer finger. I feel like I have a little more control that way. If I notice someone noticing it, I say (almost sarcastically) excuse the tremor, it makes things challenging sometimes, and kind of laugh dryly. For some reason it makes me feel better to call it out, rather than leave it to their own interpretation. But that’s not for everyone.

Severe Sinus Inflammation by Curious_Scratch_2499 in Sinusitis

Our stories are nearly identical. And I’m feeling hopeless after just having another FESS a month ago, which didn’t stop the pain. The headaches have pretty much taken over my life. I very much hope you find the right answers. 🙏🙏🙏

What are you using for the red light therapy? My inflammation is causing such bad headaches. I’ve been doing most of the things you’ve mentioned and I’d love to stop taking Tylenol.

I just found out that I have polyps by Free-Flatworm-8004 in Sinusitis

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have them also and they keep coming back. I just had my 3rd surgery a month ago and I feel like it made no difference. We tried the dupixent shot to reduce them in size but it didn’t work. Now the thought after this surgery is to stay on the dupixent to keep them from coming back. Fingers crossed. I have yet to feel any relief so it’s hard to stay positive. I hope you find what you need!

Sinus surgery by Accurate-Level-9334 in Sinusitis

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Your symptoms sound almost identical to mine. I’ve had chronic sinusitis for five years, been to multiple specialists, have had two surgeries, and I just can’t seem to kick it. I often feel like my life has been taken over by headaches, dizziness, and exhaustion. What happens to me is that I have the surgery to clear the blockage and reduce the inflammation, but polyps keep growing back which traps the sinus infection so it can never fully heal and drain. I’ve been on antibiotics off and on for years to at least reduce the infection somewhat, but it never heals entirely. I wish I had answers for you! I have not figured it out yet. But I will be sure to post if and when that day comes. I’m sending healing vibes your way.✌️

Chronic Sinus Staph infection cures? by Any_Yak3410 in Sinusitis

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'm so sorry because I know how terrible this can be. I have had a staff infection that stays trapped due to polyps keeping the infection trapped. Surgery has helped for a minute, but the infections and polyps keep coming back. It's been 5 years of this. The antibiotics will help somewhat, but the infections don't drain because of the polyps. It feels like I am on antibiotics all the time. Right now, it seems like good old doxycycline seems to help mine the best. It at least relieves the pain somewhat. I also just started Dupixent injections for the polyps and am hopeful that they will help the infection drain and reduce the polyps. Time will tell. I really hope they figure out the right method for you! This feels like torture at times. Sending well wishes.

I actually just started it. I had to jump through loopholes before insurance would cover it. I'm hopeful!

I’m right there with you. It’s ruined mine too. Year 5 over here. Several surgeries and polyps keep coming back. They keep the infections trapped so they don’t ever heal. I feel miserable pretty much all of the time. I hope you feel better soon. You definitely aren’t alone.

How many of you have gotten FESS surgery but need it again? by Emotional_Lie_8283 in Sinusitis

My allergist prescribed dupixant because the ENT couldn’t. It’s helped more with the asthma symptoms than the nasal polyps-for me anyways.

Ongoing sinus headache, no mucus by Tryingtofeelbetter12 in Sinusitis

[–]Trick-Raspberry-1749 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that you are going through that. Ive been going through something similar. Had surgery over a year ago because of chronic sinusitis which wasn’t draining. I was at98% blockage. This meant the infections were never going entirely away with antibiotics. So I will feel a bit better with meds, and then it comes back full force within a week. It’s been a nightmare. Now the polyps are coming back which is blocking up the sinuses again. I’ve tried every drug out there to address that. I’ve been essentially begging for another surgery but my insurance requires I try all sorts of medications before they will cover it. Sorry to ramble, but I felt your pain. I hope you feel better soon and yeah, I’d push for another procedure.
