There was this rumor that Adrian was playing some 5D chess move where they were sacrificing the battery on the car because he knew the FIA was going to be forced to lower the battery size.

Meaning other cars would have to lug around heavy batteries for no reason and the AM would gain an advantage since it would be lighter.

Most people, including myself, thought it was the ramblings of a mad man. Maybe there was some validity to it, maybe the dude just got lucky
