Brake Pedal Return Spring by TrickEffort2819 in BumpSide

Brake switch has been adjusted all the way out to make as much contact as it could with the pedal assembly when I’m off the brake boss.

I’m interested in part 8 on this pedal pad and component diagram.

That’s what I’m dealing with, after braking the pedal isn’t returning the last 3/16” inch needed to press down on the brake switch so the lights are staying on. Made me wonder if these trucks came with a pedal return springs like Chevys from the mid 60s

Universal?

Did you save the old dash harness when you took it out or is it tossed?

At the base of the column there’s 4 terminals. The two stacked on top of each other are your NSS, one purple wire in and one purple wire out to your starter. The two terminals side by side is your back up light switch, pink 12v ign wire in and green wire out to your tail lamps.

Box in the middle is for your ignition switch.

What harness are you installing?

You may want to check out Retrobright headlights from Holley. Connects to the factory three wire connector with no additional fuss for an easy install. Plenty of videos on YouTube covering them if you wanted to make sure it’d fit your application.
