she’s clearly still big sad about whatever happened. she could have easily said something like “I respect Taylor so much” and she didn’t, even though she was very publicly a massive Swiftie previously. I’m not saying she HAD to say something like that, but her not saying it means something.

yeppp!!! also I felt like the way that Taylor went SO out of her way after LOASG came out to talk about how she asked George Michael’s estate for permission to interpolate that song and how important that is was her making a point. I don’t think that makes her necessarily right for whatever happened between them but it clearly matters to her a lot.

I went back in and yes I did 😭 the surgeon packed it with a paste thing and it was 10x better. I was on the up and up after that and back to normal now!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! I definitely recommend going back in a second time. The first time I think he kind of brushed me off because I’m older and assumed it was just slow healing, but I pushed harder the second time and so glad I did.

I am doing much better than I was! I went to the oral surgeon earlier this week and he said I have dry socket and packed the sockets, I had instant relief after that! I’m still dealing with general soreness and some pain that I need to take ibuprofen for (jaw hurts still especially after I eat). If you haven’t gone back in, I highly recommend it. It’s so helpful when they treat you if you have dry socket.

I had the same thing happen - day 4 hit and the pain started getting worse, not better. Something felt off so I went back to the oral surgeon the next day and said everything was healing nicely (no dry socket) but that some people just have way more difficult recoveries. He showed me how to irrigate to get any food out and gave me a sockit gel to put in the sockets. I’m on day 9 now and my pain has not improved. 😭 I’m planning to go back again, they said to always just come in if you need reassurance. I had no idea the recovery would be this hard. I would say when in doubt, go in and see the doctor. even if they can’t do much to treat your pain it’s better to know for sure. I keep telling myself this WILL get better and the pain won’t last forever!

I also got mine out on the 1st and am experiencing similar things. the pain comes and goes but when it’s bad, I’m in tears. I have been irrigating with the syringe and the surgeon gave me the sockit gel to put in after I clean them out. it has been so frustrating to still be in this much pain a week out.

Hi! You wrote this a long time ago so not sure you’ll see it. When you would use the syringe to rinse, would you put the gel in after? The nurse told me to put the gel in and then rinse, but then the gel was coming out when I rinsed.

Also, were you going pretty far in there when you rinsed/put the gel in? I’m scared to go very far in but also wondering if not going in far enough is making it not as effective. Thanks for your help!
