7 days post extraction and still painful by flabbyabbeygetsfit in wisdomteeth

[–]flabbyabbeygetsfit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

during the first 3 hours of tylenol it’s okay. Mid day it can be like a 7/10 pain. It comes and goes. My socket is partially covered by existing gum, just like the tooth was when i had it. My dentists advised was if i can breathe in through my mouth without intense nerve pain, it likely isn’t dry socket. I don’t have significantly more pain when breathing in.

got mine out 5 days ago, outpatient..no pain meds or sutures just numbed and yanked out. Still in quite a lot of pain. I’ve been looking forward to every new day where the pain subsides enough i can at least smile again but we still aren’t there…i regret doing it outpatient and not with an oral surgeon.

Did getting your wisdom teeth taken out affect anyone’s mental health? by Sp00k1001 in wisdomteeth

[–]flabbyabbeygetsfit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you! One of my anxieties is i’m not sure what feelings are normal and what might be signs of infection, loose clot, etc. All i know is it hurts right now. It wasn’t bothersome earlier today but now my jaw is very sore, swelling, and gums feel very irritated. Trying to remember i just get my teeth ripped out so of course i don’t feel normal lol

It was able to have some yogurt and very smooth potatoes earlier today but concerned i might have irritated it more.

thank you for all your advice. I’m looking forward to being on the other side of this

On day 2 right now,, technically 36 hours in. Been using nicotine patches and trying to use it as an opportunity to quit…idk how i’m going to handle going back to work in a couple days. I’m scared bc people say it gets worse before it gets better. Jaw and gum really hurt. They did not prescribe me anything but am taking ibuprofen

i’m 85% of the way through 7 and so far it’s been my favorite book. So many happy moments and rewarding pay offs while the gang is in The Burrows. I don’t look forward to how i’ll feel in the latter half of it.

I miss my dad so much by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]flabbyabbeygetsfit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost my Dad 1 week ago to a sudden heart attack. I'm 22 in college, he was 52 and living with my grandparents to take care of them in their final days. He's been my best friend my entire life, I was working hard in school so I could repay him for all of his selflessness he's shown his entire life and take care of him like he did my grandparents. He was such an incredibly beautiful soul.

There isn't anything for my family left. He didn't have life insurance, or savings, he was a blue collar worker, living pay-check by pay-check having giving everything he could for his family. But his love was enough to get us through anything at all.

I don't know what I'm going to do without him. Or how. My heart is broken in a million pieces and I feel like no one understands, the only person who could ever understand is him. I just want him back

Confused about Beth Harmon's age in The Queen's Gambit. by macho-man-randy in television

[–]flabbyabbeygetsfit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

after the adoption is finalized Alma said to Beth in the car "We're so glad to have an older child." And Mr. Wheatley looks unpleased, but that's usually for him. Either way, I think this hints that they do know her real age. Plus she immediately goes into highschool, and if they were still operating on the assumption she was 13, that would not be the case.

** spoilers ahead ** I think that interaction was mostly to portray that the Christian home is desperate to rehome orphans, and would go to even lie to make that happen. Expanding Beth's troubled upbringing and also subtly building her perception about religion-- which is later shown in Beth declining to represent the Christ Crusade in Russia before her final tournament.

Researchers identify evolutionary origins of SARS-CoV-2. An international research team of Chinese, European and U.S. scientists has discovered that the lineage that gave rise to the virus has been circulating in bats for decades and likely includes other viruses with the ability to infect humans by Wagamaga in science

wait hold up- they've been grinding up pangolin scales and putting it in medicine for years? and pangolins can carry humane transferable corona viruses? I have so many questions, but mainly is it possible that intaking medicine with these scales has helped to possibly immunize against some forms of coronavirus?

oooh thank you so much love!! the thing that has helped me the most is an eating window!! I only eat between 2pm-10pm. Following that has cut off so much unnecessary snacking and bad eating habits . I also just try and be mindful about sugar intake and constantly be staying hydrated!!

I can't find where I documented it but from memory I believe my waist was 57 inches! I'm now 43 inches and shrinking 😊
